Liquid ejecting device and liquid ejecting method
A liquid ejecting device includes a first liquid ejecting unit configured to eject recording liquid onto a medium, a second liquid ejecting unit configured to eject disinfectant liquid onto the medium, and a control unit configured to control the first liquid ejecting unit and the second liquid ejecting unit, wherein the control unit is configured to cause the disinfectant liquid to eject avoiding a position at which the recording liquid ejects on the medium.
PRINTER
A printer includes a thermal head having a plurality of heating elements to print on a paper that is conveyed thereto, a controller configured to control a speed of the paper that is conveyed and an amount of power supplied to the heating elements, and a processor configured to determine from image data of an image that is to be printed on the paper using the thermal head whether or not a character and a figure other than the character are to be simultaneously printed and instruct the controller based on the determination. The processor instructs the controller to set the speed of the paper to a first speed which is slower than a second speed, which is the speed for printing the character without the figure, upon determining that the character and the figure are to be simultaneously printed.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes: a transfer drum configured to rotate while supporting a plurality of transfer members on each of which an image is formed by discharging ink from a printhead; a rotating member configured to apply a processing liquid while being pressed against each of the plurality of transfer members; a concave portion formed lower than a surface of each of the plurality of transfer members between the adjacent transfer members; and a driving unit configured to driven-rotate the rotating member in accordance with rotation of the transfer drum in a state in which the rotating member is pressed against the transfer member, and driving-rotate the rotating member in a state in which the rotating member faces the concave portion.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS FOR MANAGING MEMORY, PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An embodiment of this invention solves memory shortage that occurs in enlargement processing of an image because a web application holds data of an image or the like not as binary data but as character string data. In the embodiment, a processor in an information processing apparatus executes a program including a first program layer with an instruction set to be interpreted and executed by the processor and a second program layer with an instruction set interpreted in advance by a unit other than the processor in the following way. That is, the first program layer draws an image, and divides and enlarges the drawn image using a memory. Image data of each of a plurality of images obtained by the division and enlargement is output from the second program layer to an external device.

AUTOMATIC LABEL CREATOR AND METHOD FOR CAN DECORATING
A can decorating system includes a can decorator including at least a plurality of cylinder plates and a plurality of inking stations; and a control station communicatively coupled to the can decorator. The control station includes an input apparatus; a display; a control system structured to monitor and control operations of the can decorator; and an automatic label creator structured to receive a label specification, create a label, determine values for image registration based at least in part on the label specification and data associated with previously applied labels, and transmit at least the label and the values to the control station. The control system causes the plate cylinders and inking stations to be adjusted based on the label and the values of image registration. The plate cylinders and inking stations print the label on undecorated cans based on the label and the values.

Printer, method for controlling printer, and method for manufacturing printed matter
A printer includes a transferee object sending unit configured to send out a transferee object downstream, a transfer film sending unit configured to send out a transfer film downstream, a printing device situated downstream of the transfer film sending unit and configured to print a transferred image onto the transfer film, a holding unit situated downstream of the transferee object sending unit and the printing device and configured to hold the transferee object and the transfer film on top of each other so that a surface of the transfer film on which the transferred image is printed faces the transferee object and to send out the transferee object and the transfer film downstream, and a pasting unit situated downstream of the holding unit and configured to paste the transfer film onto the transferee object with the transferred image printed on the transfer film.
