Magnetic information processing apparatus and method
A magnetic information processing apparatus for registering transaction information on a line in a document and storing the location of the line in magnetic media attached to the document, includes a magnetic head, a document receptacle configured to receive the document on which the magnetic media storing the position where the immediately previous transaction information is registered is attached, and a processing unit. The processing unit is programmed to control the magnetic head to read information from a first position of the magnetic media, move to a second position of the magnetic media, and read additional information from the second position of the magnetic media, extract registration position information indicating the location of the most recent previous registration position from the result of reading of the first and second positions of the magnetic media by the magnetic head, and output the extracted registration position information.
Schemes to Validate and Protect Secure Documents
Aspects described herein may provide detection of a feature of an authorization code image (ACI) incorporated onto a document, thereby allowing for validation of the document. According to some aspects, these and other benefits may be achieved by an instance of a variable protocol that may specify how to generate the ACI to have a particular feature as well as how to detect the particular feature of the ACI. A recipient of the document incorporating the ACI may detect the particular feature of the ACI. If the detected feature matches an expected feature, then the ACI and the document may be determined to be authentic.
PRINTER FOR OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS
The present invention provides a printer for applying a stamp onto an official document, wherein the printer comprises an access level with an inlet for inserting the document into and removing the document from the printer, a processing level including a print head, and an inter-level document transport system for moving a document receiving platen between the access level and the processing level. The access level and the processing level are at least partly arranged on top of each other. The present invention also provides an imaging system for a printer and a method for processing an official document with a printer.
BANKNOTE-SORTING PRODUCTION LINE AND DEVICE THEREOF FOR BANKNOTE-BUNDLE STAMPING AND CODE-SPRAYING
Provided are a banknote-sorting production line and device thereof for banknote-bundle stamping and code-spraying, comprising a bundle stamping apparatus, a bundle code-spraying apparatus, and a banknote-supporting platform provided with a banknote inlet and a banknote outlet; the bundle stamping apparatus comprises a conveyor belt and a stamping mechanism located above the conveyor belt; the bundle code-spraying apparatus comprises a banknote-pushing mechanism and a code sprayer located directly above the banknote-supporting platform; the side of the banknote-supporting platform that is adjacent to the banknote inlet is provided with a gap matching the shape of the conveyor belt; the outlet end of the conveyor belt extends into the gap; the banknote-pushing mechanism comprises a banknote-pushing plate and a first drive mechanism that drives the banknote-pushing plate by moving reciprocatingly from the banknote-inlet side to the banknote-outlet side.
Printing device, and printing method
A printing device including: a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path configured to conveying print media; a skew correction unit configured to correct skewing of the print medium conveyed along the first conveyance path; and a print unit configured to print on the print medium conveyed on the first conveyance path or the second conveyance path; the first conveyance path and the second conveyance path merging downstream of the skew correction unit; print media conveyed from the second conveyance path.
Automatic desktop personalization device for booklet documents
An automatic desktop personalization device, for security booklet documents, includes a camera, an inkjet printing module, a laser marking module, a chip encoding module, and a transport mechanism. The inkjet printing module includes a printing head and is configured to print within a printing zone. The laser marking module is configured to mark within a marking zone. The transport mechanism is configured to automatically transport a security booklet document along a Y-axis linear direction, from an entrance to an exit, through printing positions and a marking position. The entrance and the exit are the same. The printing head is movable alongside an X-axis linear direction that is perpendicular to the Y-axis linear direction. The inkjet printing module includes the transport mechanism. The laser marking head is adjacent an inkjet printing bridge, such that the marking zone and the printing zone are at least partly combined.
Conveyance method utilizing a swing guide
A conveyance method involves a conveyance control step of conveying a printing medium at least including a booklet along a conveyance surface; and a swing guide control step of rotating a swing guide before the printing medium passes a gap between the swing guide and a page turning roller until a first end of a flat section is above an arrangement surface of a conveyance surface and a second end of the flat section is below the arrangement surface of the conveyance surface, wherein the first end of the flat section is located further along the conveyance direction than the second end of the flat section.
