COT MODULATORS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present disclosure relates generally to modulators of Cot (cancer Osaka thyroid) and methods of use and manufacture thereof.
ANTAGONISTS OF ACTRIIB AND USES FOR INCREASING RED BLOOD CELL LEVELS
In certain aspects, the present invention provides compositions and methods for increasing red blood cell and/or hemoglobin levels in vertebrates, including rodents and primates, and particularly in humans.
TREATMENT OF ERYTHROPOIETIN (EPO) RELATED DISEASES BY INHIBITION OF NATURAL ANTISENSE TRANSCRIPT TO EPO
Oligonucleotide compounds modulate expression and/or function of Erythropoietin (EPO) polynucleotides and encoded products thereof. Methods for treating diseases associated with Erythropoietin (EPO) comprise administering one or more oligonucleotide compounds designed to inhibit the EPO natural antisense transcript to patients.
Piperidinyl-Indole Derivatives Complement Factor B Inhibitors and Uses Thereof
The present invention provides a compound of formula I:
##STR00001##
a method for manufacturing the compounds of the invention, and its therapeutic uses. The present invention further provides a combination of pharmacologically active agents and a pharmaceutical composition.
ANTI-C5 ANTIBODIES HAVING IMPROVED PHARMACOKINETICS
The disclosure provides antibodies that are useful for, among other things, inhibiting terminal complement (e.g., the assembly and/or activity of the C5b-9 TCC) and C5a anaphylatoxin-mediated inflammation and, thus, treating complement-associated disorders. The antibodies have a number of improved properties relative to eculizumab, including, e.g., increased serum half-life in a human.
VIRAL VECTORS FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND THERAPY OF HEMOGLOBINOPATHIES
Provided are compositions and methods for inducing expression of human beta-globin in erythrocytes for use in prophylaxis and/or therapy of a hemoglobinopathy in an individual. The method generally entails introducing into CD34+ cells a polynucleotide encoding: i) a 5′ long terminal repeat (LTR) and a self-inactivating 3′ LTR; ii) at least one polyadenylation signal; iii) at least one promoter; iv) a globin gene locus control region (LCR); v) an ankyrin insulator element (Ank); vi) a Woodchuck Post-Regulatory Element (WPRE) configured such that the WPRE does not integrate into a target genome; and vii) a sequence that is a reverse complement of a sequence encoding human beta-globin, and can include beta-globin that has a PT87Q mutation. Intron 2 of the beta globin gene can be a complete intron. Modified erythrocyte progenitor cells, recombinant vectors and virions comprising recombinant polynucleotides, and methods of making the vectors and virions are included.
2-oxo-1,2-dihydrobenzo[cd]indole compound and use thereof
The present invention relates to the technical field of medicinal chemistry, and in particular discloses a 2-oxo-1,2-dihydrobenzo[cd]indole compound and use thereof. The compound and pharmaceutically acceptable salt, isomer, racemate, prodrug, co-crystallized complex, hydrate, and solvate thereof can effectively inhibit the BET bromodomain receptor, and can be used for preparing a medicine for treating cancers, cell proliferative disorders, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune disorders, sepsis, and viral infections.
Modulators of complement activity
The present invention provides polypeptide modulators of complement activity, including cyclic polypeptide modulators. Also provided are methods of utilizing such modulators as therapeutics.
ANTIBODY BINDING TO FCRN FOR TREATING AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES
The present disclosure relates to an isolated anti-FcRN antibody, which is an antibody binding to FcRN (stands for neonatal Fc receptor, also called FcRP, FcRB or Brambell receptor) that is a receptor with a high affinity for IgG or a fragment thereof, a method of preparing thereof, a composition for treating autoimmune disease, which comprises the antibody, and a method of treating and diagnosing autoimmune diseases using the antibody. The FcRn-specific antibody according to the present disclosure binds to FcRn non-competitively with IgG to reduce serum pathogenic auto-antibody levels, and thus can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
METHODS, REGIMENS, COMBINATIONS & ANTAGONISTS
The invention relates to treating or preventing anaemia in a subject, such as a mammal or human. In particular, the invention addresses moderate to severe anaemia. Additionally, the invention provides means for sparing administration of erythropoiesis stimulating agents (ESAs) to subjects.
