Multidimensional image reproduction technique
The instant invention is related to a method for replicating an object. The method includes providing an object comprising an outer surface and a channel; applying dry tannin powder to the outer surface of the object wherein at least a portion of the dry tannin powder adheres to the outer surface as imaging tannin; and placing an aqueous solution of an iron salt in the channel wherein the iron salt diffuses through the object to convert said imaging tannin into a replica of the object.
PRINTING DEVICE AND PRINTING METHOD
A printing device includes a printer, a flying object having the printer attached thereto, an image capturing device, and a control unit configured to control the flying object to move the printer to printing positions according to a shape of an object recognized from an image captured by the image capturing device and the printer to print on a printing surface of the object as the printer is moved to the printing positions.
Container decoration apparatus and method
A container body decorator (10) has a controller with a software stored in a memory. A plurality of ink jet print heads (108) is in communication with the controller. An endless image transfer belt (116) has a circumferential configuration with an inner surface opposite a printing surface. A printing site (124) is located along the endless image transfer belt (116). A container body handling module (200) delivers container bodies (14) to the printing site (124).
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SCREENING IMAGES
A method of screening a continuous-tone image is configured to produce an output image to be printed on a surface. The continuous-tone image comprises a plurality of pixels having respective corresponding intended print locations. The method includes selecting a first sequence comprising a subset of the plurality of intended print locations, the first sequence being selected based on properties of the plurality of intended print locations.
For each intended print location in the first sequence, the method also includes identifying the corresponding pixel in the continuous-tone image to obtain a second sequence for an error diffusion process comprising the identified corresponding pixels in the continuous-tone image.
Method for Marking a Tire, in Particular by Color Printing
A tire tread (1) having a tread pattern depth Hm, with at least two longitudinally oriented grooves (31, 41, 42), at least one of them being a complex groove (31), that in the new state, is alternately external cavities (311) that open onto the tread surface and internal cavities (312) that are hidden within the thickness of the tread. The external cavities (311) have a mean longitudinal length Lm, a depth at least equal to 0.9 Hm, and are separated by internal cavities having a mean longitudinal length Li, Li being at least equal to 0.5*Lm and at most equal to 2*Lm. At least one rib (21) in the longitudinal direction and delimited by a complex groove with transverse sipes (5) made at a mean spacing Pm. The spacing Pm of the transverse sipes is at most equal to the mean longitudinal length Lm of the external cavities (311).
CAROUSEL-TYPE PRINTING SYSTEM
A carousel-type printing system includes a plurality of printing units for printing on objects and a revolver for conveying the objects from one of the printing units to another. The revolver has a plurality of spindles with retaining elements for holding the objects. A first shaft and a first motor are provided for rotating the revolver. A second shaft and a common second motor are provided for rotating the spindles. One of the two shafts is a hollow shaft and the other of the two shafts is an interior shaft in the hollow shaft. The first motor and the second motor are preferably coaxial with one another.
PRINTER AND PRINTING JIG
A printer includes a table, a print head, a detector, and a controller. The controller includes a storage to store initial print data including information of reference position marks, a reader to acquire, using the detector, positional information of position detection marks, a print data generator to modify the initial print data such that the reference position marks each coincide with an associated one of the position detection marks acquired by the reader, thus generating actual print data; and a printing controller to perform printing in accordance with the actual print data.
Process for Producing Decorated Medallions and Metals
A process for customization of decoration that allows efficient production of small batches of custom awards medallions, medals and coins, particularly suitable for die cast medal medallions, medals and coins. The invention is also the medallions, medals and coins made by the process.
Coating device and associated coating method
Exemplary coating devices and exemplary coating methods for coating components with a coating agent, e.g., for painting motor vehicle body components with a paint, are disclosed. An exemplary coating device comprises an application device that applies the coating agent. The application device may include a paint head that discharges the coating agent out of at least one coating agent nozzle.
Method and direct-printing machine for printing containers of different material types in a direct-printing process
A method and a direct-printing machine for printing on containers of different types of materials in a direct-printing process, wherein containers of a first type of material are conveyed by means of a conveyor and printed on, in several layers, with a plurality of printing units by means of direct-printing heads with a first basic ink compatible with the first type of material (102) and, on top of the first basic ink, with at least one colored ink. The first basic ink may be exchanged for a second basic ink, which is compatible with the second type of material, when a change to containers of a second type of material takes place, and the containers of the second type of material may then be printed on, in several layers, with the second basic ink (105) and, on top of the second basic ink, with the at least one colored ink.
