Method of roll-to-roll digital printing, cutting, and punching of medical device surfaces
A method for preparing a material for use as a surface of a medical device may include printing, with an ink jet printer and using ink that is curable with ultraviolet light, content onto a surface of material that includes woven ticking fabric laminated with polyurethane. The method may also include curing the ink with the ultraviolet light. The method may also include cutting a section of the material in registration to the content printed on the surface for use in a medical device.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided an image recording apparatus including: head configured to discharge a photo-curing liquid to a medium; irradiator configured to irradiate a curing light to cure the photo-curing liquid; distance measurer including first light emitter configured to emit a ranging light to measure a distance to the medium, and first light receiver configured to receive the ranging light; and casing housing the head, the irradiator and the distance measurer, and having a window through which an inside of the casing is visually perceptible. First filter is provided on the window, the first filter having a function of restraining transmission of the curing light more compared to transmission of a visible light. Second filter is provided on the first light receiver, the second filter having a function of restraining transmission of the visible light more compared to transmission of the ranging light.
Ink jet recording method and ink jet recording apparatus
An ink jet recording method includes: a treatment liquid adhesion step of adhering a treatment liquid containing an aggregating agent to a recording medium; an ink adhesion step of adhering an aqueous ink composition containing a colorant to the recording medium by ejection thereof from an ink jet head; a first heating step of heating the recording medium to which the treatment liquid and the aqueous ink composition are adhered to a first surface temperature by a first heating mechanism; a second heating step of heating the recording medium after the first heating step to a second surface temperature which is higher than the first surface temperature by a second heating mechanism provided at downstream than the first heating mechanism in a recording medium transport direction; and a cooling step of, after the first heating step and before the second heating step, cooling the recording medium by a cooling mechanism, and by the cooling step, a surface temperature of the recording medium is decreased to a temperature lower than the first surface temperature.
Printed matter exhibiting metallic gloss
A printed matter exhibiting metallic gloss is provided and includes: a substrate; and a metallic glossy layer, being formed on the substrate, and the metallic glossy layer containing scaly particles having a metal. In the metallic glossy layer, the scaly particles are oriented to be substantially parallel to a surface of the metallic glossy layer; and the surface of the metallic glossy layer has a DOI value of greater than or equal to 20% and a Sa value of less than or equal to 2 μm.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE AND LIQUID EJECTING METHOD
A liquid ejecting device includes a first liquid ejecting unit configured to eject recording liquid onto a medium, a second liquid ejecting unit configured to eject disinfectant liquid onto the medium, and a control unit configured to control the first liquid ejecting unit and the second liquid ejecting unit, wherein the control unit is configured to cause the disinfectant liquid to eject avoiding a position at which the recording liquid ejects on the medium.
POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND RECORDING SYSTEM
A controller can acquire, as information of a recording device, first information that can determine that a recording type of the recording device is an ink-jet type, and second information that can determine the recording type of the recording device is a laser type. The controller acquires the information of the recording device, performs the post-processing based on a first setting when the information of the recording device includes the first information capable of determining that the recording type is the ink-jet type, and performs the control of the post-processing based on a second setting different from the first setting when the information of the recording device includes the second information capable of determining that the recording type is the laser type.
Intermediate unit, post processing device, and printing apparatus
An intermediate unit includes a transportation path provided with a drying unit that accelerates the drying of the medium. The transportation path includes an inlet path, an outlet path, a first branch path, a second branch path, a first junction path, a second junction path, a switch-back type inversion path with a first inversion path and a second inversion path. The first branch path and the second branch path which branch off at a branch point from the inlet path. The first junction path and the second junction path and the outlet path join each other at a junction point. The first branch path and the first junction path and the first inversion path join each other at a first connection point. The second branch path and the second junction path and the second inversion path join each other at a second connection point.
Rollers for dryer system
In an example, a dryer system may include a dryer, a plurality of passive rollers, and a tension engine to maintain tension on web media based on dryer pressure. In another example, a dryer system includes a plurality of passive rollers in a drying zone and a moveable platen having a surface defining apertures corresponding to the plurality of rows of passive rollers such that the surface of the platen moves relative to an axis of the roifers. In another example, a platen device includes a roller, a moveable platen having a surface defining an aperture through which the roller fits, and a cover that moves in conjunction with movement of the platen to cover the aperture when the surface of the platen is adjusted to a height above the axis of the roller.
Print conditioner
Some examples include a print system including a memory to store instructions and print data of a print job, a processor to execute the instructions in the memory to reference print data of a print job, determine a print parameter of the print job, and transform the print data and the print parameter into a conditioning modifier. The print system includes a print engine to dispense a print substance on a medium based on the print data to generate printed medium, and a conditioner to apply heat and pressure to the printed medium, the conditioner including a pressure roller assembly, and a controller to selectively increase a transport speed the pressure roller assembly based on the conditioning modifier and a position of the printed medium relative to the pressure roller assembly to selectively increase the speed of the printed medium through the conditioner.
