Printer vacuum conveyor with adjustable active area
A printing system includes a driving belt configured to drive media through the printing system relative to one or more print heads and a vacuum conveyor system. The vacuum conveyor system includes a vacuum chamber cover having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, as well as a plurality of slots through the cover that form openings from the first surface to the second surface. A seal, disposed within and extending along at least a portion of a length of a respective slot, is drivable to open or close the respective slot. A vacuum chamber below the second surface of the vacuum chamber cover is configured to apply a vacuum to the media through the plurality of slots. The applied vacuum constrains the media on the driving belt by flattening it against the driving belt.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: a container; a conveying mechanism configured to convey a recording medium contained in the container; a recording head configured to record an image on the recording medium that has been conveyed through a conveying path by the conveying mechanism; a moving mechanism including a carriage and configured to move the carriage reciprocatingly together with the recording head; a first sensor installed in the carriage and configured to detect the recording medium; a second sensor configured to detect a change of a state of the container; a storage unit configured to store width information of the recording medium that is conveyed by the conveying mechanism; and a controller configured to control the conveying mechanism, the moving mechanism, and the recording head.
Drawing apparatus, drawing method for drawing apparatus, and computer readable recording medium
A drawing apparatus includes an object receiver into which an object is inserted, the object being at least one finger or toe having a nail to be drawn, an object holder that is configured to hold the object inserted into the object receiver and processor. The processor is configured to adjust a holding level by the object holder on the basis of a size of the object.
PRINTER
A printer configured to form an image on roll paper includes a housing configured to house the roll paper and a first guide and a second guide coupled to the housing, the first guide and the second guide each being movable in a width direction of the roll paper, and the first guide being separated from the second guide in the width direction to hold the roll paper therebetween. The printer further includes a detection assembly configured to detect a position of the first guide and a position of the second guide and a controller configured to determine a width of the roll paper based on a detection result of the detection assembly.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING A WEB IN AN APPARATUS
A web printing apparatus comprising a support platen facing the processing station for supporting the web, when being processed by the processing station and a first guard for guarding a side edge of a web, the first guard being connectable to the support platen for guiding the web along a transport path, when the web is processed by the processing station. A detector is provided for detecting the first guard when connected to the support platen as well as a control unit configured for controlling the processing station to process the web, wherein the control unit is configured to identify the guard based on a detection signal provided by the detector to the control unit. Thereby, the first guard is identified by the control unit which may then control the movement of the print carriage to avoid the first guard, preventing collisions.
LABEL CREATING METHOD, PROGRAM, TAPE PRINTING DEVICE, AND CABLE LABEL
The tape printing device includes an information input unit that receives information; and a label creating unit that prints the information that is input by the information input unit on at least one of a first print region having a length L1 and a second print region having the length L1 adjacent to an elongated or strip-shaped print medium in a longitudinal direction, and that creates a cable label including a print region including the first print region and the second print region, a winding region having a length L2 adjacent to the print region in the longitudinal direction, and a sticking region having a length L3 adjacent to the winding region or the print region in the longitudinal direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a housing; a mounting portion in the housing configured to hold a recording medium; one or more light receivers in the housing; a light adjuster that adjusts an amount of light incident on the light receivers based on presence or size of the recording medium on the mounting portion; and a controller that determines a size of the recording medium based on the amount of light that has been adjusted by the light adjuster.
IMAGE FORMING CONTROL METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A processor acquires a pair of first lateral edge positions when a first surface of a target sheet serves as a printing surface. The processor acquires a pair of second lateral edge positions when a second surface of the target sheet serves as a printing surface. The processor acquires matching scale information that specifies a matching scale image from among a plurality of first scale images formed on the first surface of the target sheet whose position matches a position in a width direction of one of a plurality of second scale images formed on the second surface of the target sheet. The processor sets a reference center position according to a ratio of an interval between the pair of second lateral edge positions to an interval between the pair of first lateral edge positions and the matching scale information.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus capable of performing printing on a plurality of kinds of sheets, comprising a print unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, a feed unit configured to feed a sheet toward the print unit, and a control unit configured to, in a case of successively performing printing on a plurality of sheets by the print unit, control the feed unit to perform overlapped feeding in which a succeeding sheet is fed such that a trailing end portion of a preceding sheet and a leading end portion of the succeeding sheet overlap, wherein, in a case of executing the overlapped feeding, the control unit makes a predetermined notification based on a comparison result of a length of the succeeding sheet with a threshold value corresponding to a sheet kind of the succeeding sheet.
Document feeders for printers and printers comprising the document feeders
A document feeder for a printer may include an upper part and/or a lower part. The upper part may include a feeding roller arrangement configured to engage with an upper face of a document. The lower part may include a retaining surface. The lower part may further include a sliding element which, in at least an operation mode of the document feeder, may have a portion that projects with respect to the retaining surface for supporting a lower face of the document in such a way that at least a portion of the document is raised with respect to the retaining surface.
