Liquid discharge apparatus and method of conveying medium
A liquid discharge apparatus includes: a liquid discharge head; a conveyer that supports and conveys a medium; a blower that is disposed on the upstream side of the liquid discharge head or the downstream side of the liquid discharge head and suppresses the change of the posture of the medium by sending the air to the medium; a temperature adjuster that is disposed on the side of the blower opposite to the liquid discharge head in the medium conveying direction and adjusts the temperature of an object to a temperature higher than the ambient temperature of the liquid discharge head or a temperature lower than the ambient temperature of the liquid discharge head; and a blast controller sends an operation stop command or an air reduction command to the blower at a blast region-pass timing at which the medium passes through a blast region of the blower.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a container; a conveying mechanism configured to convey a recording medium contained in the container; a recording head configured to record an image on the recording medium that has been conveyed through a conveying path by the conveying mechanism; a moving mechanism including a carriage and configured to move the carriage reciprocatingly together with the recording head; a first sensor installed in the carriage and configured to detect the recording medium; a second sensor configured to detect a change of a state of the container; a storage unit configured to store width information of the recording medium that is conveyed by the conveying mechanism; and a controller configured to control the conveying mechanism, the moving mechanism, and the recording head.
ROLL-TO-ROLL PRINTER
A roll-to-roll printer includes a storage portion for storing a substrate in a rolled form, a transport portion, a printing platform, a printing mechanism including a drive unit and a print head provided on the drive unit, and a detection sensor. The transport portion is configured for continuously transporting the substrate forward. The printing platform is configured for holding the substrate transported by the transport portion. The printing mechanism is provided above the printing platform. The drive unit can drive the print head to move in a direction orthogonal to the substrate feed direction. The detection sensor is provided on the drive unit, and is electrically connected to the drive unit. The drive unit can drive the detection sensor to move in the direction orthogonal to the substrate feed direction to detect the substrate height.
Paper cutting apparatus and printing apparatus
A paper cutting apparatus comprises a cutting unit to cut paper, a moving unit to move the cutting unit in a direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the paper, and a motor to drive the moving unit. The paper cutting apparatus also includes a detection unit to detect the current value of the motor and a determination unit to determine the state of the current value while the cutting unit that has begun moving from a specific position toward a target stop position is moving from a downstream end of the paper to a predetermined target stop position in the movement direction of the cutting unit. A control unit is configured to stop the drive of the motor on the basis of the determination result of the determination unit.
Inkjet recording device
An inkjet recording device includes a movement unit configured to move a recording medium or a placement part for placing the recording medium thereon; a detection unit configured to continuously detect movement of the recording medium or the placement part; and a control unit configured to control the movement unit and the detection unit. The detection unit includes a gripping unit having a gripping part for gripping the recording medium or the placement part and a detection part for continuously detecting movement of the gripping unit. The gripping unit is configured to move in conjunction with the movement of the recording medium or the placement part by gripping the recording medium or the placement part by the gripping part. The control unit is configured to control the movement of the movement unit on the basis of a detection result by the detection part when the gripping unit is moved.
PRINTING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD OF A PRINTING DEVICE
A printing device has a print unit that prints on roll paper; a storage compartment that holds roll paper; a paper guide that limits the position of the roll paper in the storage compartment; a paper guide sensor that outputs different detection values according to the status of the paper guide; a memory unit that stores the paper width of the roll paper; and a control unit that causes the print unit to print based on the paper width stored by the memory unit, detects the status of the paper guide based on the detection value of the paper guide sensor when triggered by a specific event, changes the paper width setting to a value indicating 58 mm if the paper guide is installed, and to a value indicating 80 mm if the paper guide is not installed.
DOCUMENT FEEDER FOR A PRINTER AND PRINTER COMPRISING SAID DOCUMENT FEEDER
A document feeder for a printer may include an upper part and/or a lower part. The upper part may include a feeding roller arrangement configured to engage with an upper face of a document. The lower part may include a retaining surface. The lower part may further include a sliding element which, in at least an operation mode of the document feeder, may have a portion that projects with respect to the retaining surface for supporting a lower face of the document in such a way that at least a portion of the document is raised with respect to the retaining surface.
