Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus includes a recording section which is provided over a transport passage for transporting a sheet in a transport direction and which has nozzles for discharging an ink onto the sheet; a platen which is provided under the recording section with the transport passage intervening therebetween and which has a plurality of ribs provided to support the sheet while being separated from each other in a widthwise direction of the transport passage perpendicular to the transport direction, the respective ribs protruding upwardly and extending in the transport direction; and a plurality of holding members which are provided to be positioned between the plurality of ribs in the widthwise direction of the transport passage over the platen on an upstream side in the transport direction from the nozzles and which abut against an upper surface of the sheet and press the sheet toward the platen.
RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided a recording apparatus including a recording head, a support member which is disposed to face the recording head and on which a plurality of ribs for supporting a medium are formed, the plurality of ribs include a plurality of first ribs which are provided in a medium width direction and a plurality of second ribs which are positioned on a downstream side from the first ribs and are provided in the medium width direction, each of the second ribs has a guide surface for scooping up a leading edge of the medium which is fed backward, and the guide surface includes a first guide surface which is formed on each of the second ribs and a second guide surface which is formed on each of the second ribs.
Image recording apparatus
A plurality of first contact portions is arranged to face a second supporting member between a nipping position and nozzles in a conveying direction. The first contact portions are spaced away from each other in a width direction, and contact a sheet from a first side. A second contact portion is provided at least between two of the first contact portions in the width direction, and contacts the sheet from a second side. A regulating member is provided at a first supporting member. The regulating member extends to provide an extending end portion that is located at a position closer to a second supporting member than the nozzle surface is in a perpendicular direction. The extending end portion locates the first contact portions at a regulating position that is closer to the second supporting member than the nozzle surface is in the perpendicular direction.
Belt Drive for Rewritable Display Medium
A belt drive includes a belt and at least one pair of spaced apart rails extending in a first direction and defining a gap. The belt is aligned with the gap and to be driven in an endless loop with the belt including a first movable portion external to the gap on a first side of the rails and a second movable portion biased to be recessed within the gap on an opposite second side of the rails. A rewritable display medium is releasably engageable in a sandwiched position between a slidable contact surface of the rails and a first segment of the second movable portion external to the gap to move the display medium in the first direction for contact-less imaging via a unit spaced from the rails.
Liquid ejection head and liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection head includes a liquid ejection part configured to eject a liquid; and a guide part provided upstream of the liquid ejection part with respect to a conveying direction of a recording medium and configured to guide the front end of the recording medium conveyed to the liquid ejection part. The guide part has an inclined surface inclined so as to be more spaced apart from a conveyance path for the recording medium as the inclined surface is more distant from the liquid ejection part.
Inkjet printer
An inkjet printer including a feeding device configured to feed a sheet in a feeding direction, a platen configured to support the sheet, a recording device configured to eject ink on the sheet, contacting members configured to contact the sheet, a detector configured to detect an end portion position of the sheet in a width direction, and a controller configured to control the feeding device and the recording device is provided. The contacting members are arranged at intervals in the width direction, and the controller performs a suppression process in which at least one of the feeding device and the recording device is controlled to suppress a contact of the sheet with the recording device when the end portion position detected by the detector is a position between the two adjacent contacting members.
PRINT MEDIA PRESSURE PLATES
Examples described herein include examples print media handling system including a first media guide assembly comprising a sensor assembly, and a second media guide assembly comprising a retractable pressure plate and disposed opposite the first media guide assembly to guide a print media along a path between the first media guide assembly and second media guide assembly, the pressure plate moveable about an axis perpendicular to the path between an actuated position and a retracted position.
INKJET PRINTER WHICH STIFFENS SHEET
An inkjet printer includes: at least one inkjet head configured to eject ink to a sheet and print an image; at least one stiffening conveyor configured to convey the sheet toward the at least one inkjet head in a conveyance direction while stiffening the sheet by deforming the sheet into a wave shape in a width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction; and at least one platen arranged to face the at least one inkjet head and having a protrusion, the protrusion provided on a surface of the at least one platen facing the at least one inkjet head and configured to support a convex portion in the wave shape of the deformed sheet, the at least one platen configured to support the sheet while keeping the sheet deformed in the wave shape.
SHROUD FOR A PRINTHEAD ASSEMBLY
In one example, a shroud to protect a group of printheads in a printhead assembly includes a body having a first notched end where an upstream part of the body extends past a downstream part of the body and a second notched end opposite the first end where a downstream part of the body extends past an upstream part of the body. A first group of openings in the body is aligned across the upstream part of the body and a second group of openings in the body is aligned across the downstream part of the body. Each opening is to surround an exposed part of a printhead when the shroud is installed on the printhead assembly.
INKJET PRINTING DEVICE WITH REMOVABLE FLAT SUBSTRATE SUPPORT DEVICE
An inkjet printing device includes a vacuum flatbed table configured to support large and flat substrates with applied vacuum power and while printing, in a hold down area, against the vacuum flatbed table; a removable flat substrate support device configured to support large and flat substrates while printing; and a vacuum belt connected to a plurality of pulleys and wrapped around the vacuum flatbed table; wherein the vacuum flatbed table is configured for coupling the removable flat substrate support device stationary to the vacuum flatbed table by applied vacuum power; and the vacuum belt is sandwiched between the removable flat substrate support device and the vacuum flatbed table.
