PRINTING DEVICE
A printing device includes a print head mechanism and a platen roller. The print head mechanism includes a mounting bracket, a print head module and a guide member. When the print head module prints a pattern on the print medium, the print medium is pressed by the platen roller, the platen roller is rotated in a first rotating direction, and the print medium is moved from the print head module to the guide member. When a detecting process is performed, the platen roller is rotated in a second rotating direction, and the print medium is contacted with the guide member and moved toward the platen roller. After a rear end of the print medium is contacted with the platen roller, the print medium is moved along a circumferential direction of the platen roller and transferred through a region under the print head module and a detection region.
SHEET ALIGNING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet aligning device includes a conveying roller, a reference member, and an aligning roller. The conveying roller conveys a sheet along a conveyance path in a predetermined conveyance direction. The reference member defines one boundary of the conveyance path. By the aligning roller, the sheet conveyed by the conveying roller is abutted against the reference member. The aligning roller has a shaft, a first layer, and a second layer provided between the shaft and the first layer and having a hardness lower than that of the first layer.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT CORRECTS SKEW OF RECORDING SHEET BEING TRANSPORTED
An image forming apparatus includes a skew correction mechanism having an alignment plate extending parallel to a transport direction of a recording sheet, and configured to correct a skew of the recording sheet with respect to the transport direction, by pressing a side of the recording sheet extending along the transport direction, against the alignment plate, an inclination angle adjustment mechanism that enables manual adjustment of the inclination angle of the alignment plate with respect to the transport direction, a calculator that calculates a distance between the leading edge corner and the trailing edge corner in the width direction orthogonal to the transport direction, detected by the detection device, as a deviation amount of the recording sheet, and calculates an adjustment amount of the inclination angle that reduces the deviation amount, and a controller that notifies the adjustment amount of the inclination angle calculated by the calculator, to a user.

A transport device for transporting substrates along at least one guide includes: a frame; and at least one hold-down device movable relative to the frame from a depositing position, in which a passage region is exposed, such that a substrate is depositable along a depositing direction through the passage region on the at least one guide, into a hold-down position, in which the at least one hold-down device is arranged in the passage region so as to block a movement of a deposited substrate on the at least one guide against the depositing direction.

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a medium conveyance device including a second conveyance roller pair disposed downstream in a conveyance direction of a first conveyance roller pair and a shutter unit including a contact section with which a leading end of a conveyed medium comes into contact upstream of a nip position of the second conveyance roller pair and displaceable to a first posture for correcting skew of the medium and a second posture for retracting the contact section such that the medium after the correction reaches the nip position, and a third conveyance roller pair disposed between the first conveyance roller pair and the contact section in the first posture. The third conveyance roller pair does not nip the medium before the leading end of the medium comes into contact with the contact section in the first posture of the shutter unit and nips and conveys the medium after the correction and when the shutter unit is displaced from the first posture to the second posture.
CONVEYANCE APPARATUS FOR INHIBITING SKEW OF A LONG SHEET MEDIUM
A conveyance apparatus includes a sheet placement assembly and a sheet conveyor configured to convey a sheet medium on the sheet placement assembly in a conveyance direction. The sheet placement assembly, when in a first state extending vertically, receives the sheet medium in a folded manner at its upper end. The sheet placement assembly includes a first opposing surface facing a downstream portion, in the conveyance direction, of the sheet medium on the sheet placement assembly in the first state, a second opposing surface facing an upstream portion, in the conveyance direction, of the sheet medium on the sheet placement assembly in the first state, and a plurality of first regulation members disposed such that the upstream portion of the sheet medium is between the first regulation members in a particular direction intersecting the conveyance direction and configured to regulate movement of the sheet medium in the particular direction.
