The irregularity detecting unit detects an irregularity with the recording medium conveyed toward the recording head. The recording medium conveyance unit has a recording medium diversion unit into which the recording medium with which an irregularity has been detected by the irregularity detecting unit is conveyed. The control unit can perform flushing operation and, when the irregularity detecting unit detects an irregularity with the recording medium, the control unit cancels the flushing operation set immediately before the recording medium with which the irregularity has been detected and conveys, by controlling the recording medium conveyance unit, the recording medium to the recording medium diversion unit.

A conveyance apparatus includes a liquid discharge head unit, a conveyance rotator, and a plurality of detection devices. The liquid discharge head unit discharge liquid to an object conveyed in a conveyance direction. The conveyance rotator conveys the object. The plurality of detection devices output a detection result indicating a position of the object. The adjacent two of the plurality of detection devices are spaced at a prescribed distance. The prescribed distance is an integral multiple of a circumference of the conveyance rotator.

A conveyance apparatus includes a liquid discharge head unit, a conveyance rotator, and a plurality of detection devices. The liquid discharge head unit discharge liquid to an object conveyed in a conveyance direction. The conveyance rotator conveys the object. The plurality of detection devices output a detection result indicating a position of the object. The adjacent two of the plurality of detection devices are spaced at a prescribed distance. The prescribed distance is an integral multiple of a circumference of the conveyance rotator.

A printing device that performs printing on a medium includes an inkjet head, a main scan driving unit, a sub scan driving unit, and a control unit, where the control unit sets a sub-scanning movement amount based on a basic movement amount, which is a basic movement amount set according to print conditions, and a value indicating a distance for increasing or decreasing the sub-scanning movement amount in the print conditions set at the time of inputting an input correction value. Furthermore, a storage is further provided, which stores a first correction coefficient used when the basic movement amount is within a first range, and a second correction coefficient used when the basic movement amount is within a second range smaller than the first range, and the control unit sets the sub-scanning movement amount based on the basic movement amount and the calculated correction value.

A printing device includes a printer including a printing head to print a printing subject on a printing medium; a transporter including a roller to, while pressing the printing medium against the printing head, transport the printing medium in a feeding direction and a retracting direction; and a presser to, when the printing medium is transported in a feeding direction, cause the roller to press the printing medium against the printing head with first pressure and, when the printing medium is transported in a retracting direction, cause the roller to press the printing medium against the printing head with second pressure different from the first pressure.

A processing system includes a processing apparatus, a feeding apparatus, an ejection apparatus, and circuitry. The processing apparatus includes a processing device to execute a process on each of objects including a first object and a second object. The feeding apparatus feeds the objects to the processing apparatus. The ejection apparatus ejects the objects sent from the processing apparatus. The ejection apparatus includes an ejection purge portion to receive the second object traveling in the ejection apparatus. The circuitry sets whether to permit ejection of the second object not jammed to the ejection purge portion in case of a jam of the first object in the processing system. The circuitry causes the second object to be ejected to the set ejection purge portion, in response to detection of the jam of the first object.
