An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a measurement result obtained by a measurement unit that measures a characteristic of a print medium to be used in a printing apparatus, a notification control unit configured to cause a notification unit to provide notification of information indicating a print media type, and a storage unit configured to store information on a predetermined characteristic of each of a plurality of print media types, wherein, based on the measurement result acquired by the acquisition unit and usage history information indicating print media types used in the printing apparatus, the notification control unit causes the notification unit to provide notification of information indicating a print media type for which information on the predetermined characteristic stored in the storage unit corresponds to a characteristic indicated in the measurement result and which has a usage history indicated in the usage history information.

There is provided a paper sheet recycling and printing apparatus including: a paper sheet recycling section which manufactures a recycled paper sheet under a first condition and a second condition different from the first condition; a first recycled paper sheet storage section in which the recycled paper sheet manufactured under the first condition is stored; a second recycled paper sheet storage section in which the recycled paper sheet manufactured under the second condition is stored; and a printing section to which the recycled paper sheet manufactured under the first condition is supplied from the first recycled paper sheet storage section and which prints recording information on a recording target medium including the recycled paper sheet.
Image forming system including plurality of sheet feeders and method therefor having switching control features
An image forming system has a transmission assembly, standard and auxiliary sheet feeders, standard and auxiliary trays, an image forming device and a controller. The transmission assembly is for switching transmission of a drive force of a motor selectively to the one of the standard and auxiliary sheet feeders. The controller determines whether sheet is absent in the standard tray. The controller, based on determining the sheet is absent in the standard tray and receipt of preceding data, control the transmission assembly to initiate to switch the transmission of the drive force to the auxiliary sheet feeder. Also the controller, based on receipt of control data received after preceding data, control the image forming device to form an image based on the control data.
METHOD FOR PRINTING A QUALITY ASSURANCE PRINT CHART, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT, AND PRINTING SYSTEM
The present invention provides a method for printing a Quality Assurance print chart, QA chart, comprising the steps of: determining the maximum print width for at least one media sheet to be printed subsequently to the printing of the QA chart, selecting from a plurality of media types designated as being suitable for QA charts, a media type that has substantially the same or a greater media width as the determined print width for the at least one media sheet to be printed subsequently, setting a print width for the QA chart substantially to the determined print width, and printing the QA chart with the set print width on the selected media type.

In that example, the second media guide includes a surface that generates a wedge effect to move the second media guide to a level when contacted by a force. In another example, an example print apparatus includes a support structure, a first media guide, and a second media guide substantially parallel to the first media guide with respect to a media advance direction. In that example, the second media guide includes a position control mechanism to place force on a media path surface of the second media guide towards a rest position where the media path surface of the second media guide is substantially parallel to the media path surface of the first media guide.

Systems for providing on-demand food service material printing for food service are provided herein. A food service material dispenser comprises a roll holder configured to hold a roll of food service material, one or more rollers, and a motor configured to operate to translate the food service material along a path within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a cutting arrangement configured to perform a cut of the food service material to form the sheet of food service material that defines a size associated with a food service order. The dispenser also includes a printer configured to print at least one of order information or personalization information on the food service material that is based on the associated food service order. The dispenser further includes a chute configured to dispense the sheet of food service material, which includes the at least one of order information or personalization information printed thereon.

A paper sheet recycling and printing apparatus includes a paper sheet recycling section which manufactures a recycled paper sheet; a printing section which prints recording information on a recording target medium including the recycled paper sheet; a plurality of recycled paper sheet storage sections including a first recycled paper sheet storage section and a second recycled paper sheet storage section in which the recycled paper sheet is stored; a recycled paper sheet supply section which supplies the recycled paper sheet from the paper sheet recycling section to the recycled paper sheet storage section; and a transport section which transports the recording target medium to the printing section. The transport section transports the recycled paper sheet stored in the first recycled paper sheet storage section to the printing section, and the recycled paper sheet supply section supplies the recycled paper sheet to the second recycled paper sheet storage section.

Image recording device
A first feeder contacts a first surface of a first sheet held in a first tray and feeds the first sheet toward a recording unit. A second feeder contacts a first surface of a second sheet held in a second tray and feeds the second sheet toward the recording unit. An inner member is disposed above a standing plate. An outer member comprises an upstream portion opposing the standing plate, and a downstream portion opposing the inner member. The inner member guides the first surface of the first sheet and the first surface of the second sheet. The standing plate guides the first surface of the second sheet. The upstream portion of the outer member guides a second surface of the second sheet, and the downstream portion guides a second surface of the first sheet and the second surface of the second sheet. The standing plate moves relative to the outer member.

A display device includes a first substrate; a plurality of gate lines arranged in a row direction on the first substrate; a plurality of data lines arranged in a column direction intersecting the row direction; and a plurality of pixels formed in a plurality of pixel areas defined by the gate and data lines, the plurality of pixels comprising at least a first pixel and a second pixel respectively disposed in a first pixel area and a second pixel area that are immediately adjacent to each other. Each of the first and second pixels comprises a thin film transistor electrically connected to the gate and data lines, and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the thin film transistor. The data lines are disposed-apart by different distances from each other in the column direction. Each of the first and second pixel areas comprises a first edge portion adjacent to one of the gate lines and a second edge portion adjacent to another of the gate lines, a length of the first edge portion being greater than a length of the second edge portion. The thin film transistor is disposed at the first edge portion of the first and second pixel areas.
