A half cutter includes a cutting blade having a blade and a holder to which the blade is fixed, a blade receiving member having a blade receiving surface from and with which the blade is separated and comes into contact, and a spacer having at least one of a holder spacer arranged at the holder which is made of a material that is different from a material of the holder, is provided in the holder to protrude toward the blade receiving surface further than the blade, and generates a gap between the blade and the blade receiving surface and a blade receiving spacer arranged at the blade receiving surface which is made of a material different from a material of the blade receiving member, is provided to protrude from the blade receiving surface, and generates a gap between the blade and the blade receiving surface.
CUTTING DEVICE AND PRINTER
A cutting device, having a full-cutting assembly, a half-cutting assembly, and a cam, is provided. The full-cutting assembly includes a first cutting blade and a facing part to cut a tape fully through in a direction of thickness of the tape by rotating a first arm about a first shaft. The half-cutting assembly includes a second cutting blade and a supporting base to cut the tape partly in the direction of thickness by rotating a second arm about a second shaft. The cam is rotatable bidirectionally about a third shaft and has a cam face, on which a first pressing part to press the first arm and a second pressing part to press the second arm are arranged. A distance between the cam face and the second arm is smaller than or equal to a distance between the cam face and the first arm.
Cutting device
A cutting device, including a rotating body, a first link member, a second link member, a placement part, and a movable blade holder, is provided. The first link member is swingable according to sliding movement of a first groove cam in the rotating body with respect to a first pin in the first link member. The second link member is swingable according to sliding movement of a second pin in the first link member with respect to a second groove cam in the second link member. The movable blade holder is swingable according to sliding movement of a third pin in the second link member with respect to a third groove cam in the movable blade holder between a cutting position, at which a printing medium is nipped to be cut between a movable blade and the placement part, and a retracted position retracted from the cutting position.
System and apparatus for producing multilayered printed matter
A multilayered printed matter is made up of a plurality of layers formed on a medium, including a front layer and a back layer with patterns printed thereon, and a white layer and a black layer interposed between the front layer and the back layer so as to conceal the back layer to be invisible from the front-layer side. The system for producing the multilayered printed matter includes a computer that executes a printing step of moving the medium and an inkjet head relative to each other using a moving device and printing the front, back, white, and black layers on the medium using the inkjet head, and a cutting step, subsequent to the printing step, of moving the medium and a cutting blade relative to each other using the moving device and cutting the medium using the cutting blade.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING THREE-DIMENSIONAL FEATURES ON LARGE FORMAT PRINT PRODUCTS
The invention provides a system and method for producing large format print products having three-dimensional features. The system incorporates at least one micro-dispensing jet valve and optionally a cutting apparatus to provide an integrated, efficient printing system capable of producing large format print products having dramatic three-dimensional features.
Cutting device
A cutting device, including a rotating body, a first link member, a second link member, a placement part, and a movable blade holder, is provided. The first link member is swingable by rotation the rotating body. The second link member is swingable by the movement of the first link member. The movable blade holder is swingable by the movement of the second link member between a cutting position and a retracted position. The rotating body is located sideward from a basal end portion of the movable blade holder, the motor is located sideward from a center of the placement part, a swing axis of the second link member is located sideward from the second end of the placement part, and the first link member is located between the second link member and the rotating body, sideward from the center of the placement part, in a predetermined orientation.
Cutting device
A cutting device, including a rotating body, a first link member, a second link member, a placement part, and a movable blade holder, is provided. The first link member swings according to rotation of the rotating body, and the second link member swings according to swing movement of the first link member. The movable blade holder swings according to swing movement of the second link member and includes a basal end portion, a distal end portion, and an attachment portion, on which a movable blade to cut a printing medium is attached. The movable blade holder is configured to swing between a cutting position, at which the printing medium is nipped between the movable blade and the placement part to be cut by the movable blade, and a retracted position retracted from the cutting position.

A cutter unit includes a cutter holder, a cradle, a cutter lever, a cradle lever, and a transmitting portion. The cradle faces the cutter holder and movable between a full-cut position and a half-cut position. The cutter lever is configured to be contactable with the cutter holder. The cradle lever is configured to be contactable with the cradle. The transmitting portion is configured to move the cutter lever and the cradle lever in interlocking relation therebetween. The transmitting portion is configured to shut off transmission of movement of the cutter lever to the cradle lever in accordance with only operation to the cutter lever out of the cutter lever and the cradle lever while the transmitting portion is configured to transmit movement of the cradle lever to the cutter lever in accordance with only operation to the cradle lever out of the cutter lever and the cradle lever.
