LOW DOSE TOPIRAMATE/PHENTERMINE COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A method for effecting weight loss by administering a combination of topiramate and phentermine is provided. The phentermine is generally administered in immediate release form, in a daily dose in the range of 2 mg to 8 mg, in combination with a daily dose of topiramate selected to prevent the loss of effectiveness of phentermine alone. Methods for treating obesity, conditions associated with obesity, and other indications are also provided, as are compositions and dosage forms containing low doses of phentermine and topiramate, e.g., 3.75 mg phentermine and 23 mg topiramate.
INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE REDUCTION WITH INTRACAMERAL BIMATOPROST IMPLANTS
The present invention provides a method of treating an ocular condition in an eye of a patient, comprising the step of placing a biodegradable intraocular implant in an eye of the patient, the implant comprising a prostamide and a biodegradable polymer matrix that releases drug at a rate effective to sustain release of an amount of the prostamide from the implant to provide an amount of the prostamide effective to prevent or reduce a symptom of an ocular condition of the eye, wherein said ocular condition is elevated IOP and said implant is placed in an intracameral location to dilate the outflow channels of the eye emanating from Schlemm's Canal.
METHODS OF PREPARING MATERIALS WITH AMMONIA OXIDIZING BACTERIA AND TESTING MATERIALS FOR AMMONIA OXIDIZING BACTERIA
This disclosure provides, inter alia, systems and methods for testing products for ammonia oxidizing bacteria, quality control, and providing products with ammonia oxidizing bacteria. The systems and methods herein may be used, inter alia, to treat diseases associated with low nitrite levels, skin diseases, and diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria.
SMALL MOLECULES AGAINST CEREBLON TO ENHANCE EFFECTOR T CELL FUNCTION
Disclosed are small molecules against cereblon to enhance effector T cell function. Methodos of making thes molecules and methods of using them to treat various disease states are also disclosed.
METHOD FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ESSENTIAL PRIMARY HYPERTENSION
The invention is in the field of molecular diagnosis of medical diseases and their treatment. More in particular, it provides methods and means for detecting hypertension, more in particular essential primary hypertension, even more in particular NOX5-dependent hypertension. The invention also provides methods for the treatment of hypertension, in particular essential primary hypertension, more in particular NOX5-dependent hypertension. The invention also provides theragnostics, wherein therapy is combined with diagnosis, more in particular wherein the level of NOX5 is determined in a sample from a subject and wherein the subject is treated with NOX5 inhibitors or compounds that decrease the levels of NOX5 if the NOX5 levels are above a certain threshold value. Further, the invention also provides theragnostics, wherein diagnosis is combined with therapy, more in particular wherein the (plasma) level of NOX5 is determined in a sample from a subject and wherein the subject is treated with NOX5 inhibitors or compounds that reverse the result of NOX5 activity in the subject, when the determined NOX5 level is exceeding a predetermined threshold level. Finally, the invention relates to an animal model suitable for developing diagnostic methods and therapeutic treatments for NOX5-dependent hypertension.
PYRAZINE DERIVATIVE AND APPLICATION THEREOF IN INHIBITING SHP2
The present invention relates to a pyrazine derivative, an application thereof in inhibiting SHP2, and a compound of formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters, isomers, solvates, prodrugs or isotope labels thereof. The structure of the compound of formula (I) is as follows. The novel pyrazine derivative provided by the present invention has excellent inhibition of SHP2 activity and can be used to prevent and/or treat non-receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase-mediated or dependent diseases or disorders.
TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL DERIVATIVES, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND USE THEREOF
Tetrahydrocannabinol derivatives and medical use thereof, in particular to the compounds represented by general formula (I), or stereoisomers, solvates, metabolites, pharmaceutically acceptable salts or cocrystals thereof, wherein the definitions of substituents in general formula (I) are the same as those in the description
