TRANSPORT DEVICE AND PRINTING DEVICE
A transport portion includes a device main body, an upper guide portion, and a lower guide portion. In the device main body, a descending path and an ascending path overlap each other in a Z direction. The upper guide portion is configured to be moved outward with respect to the device main body and is positioned above the descending path and the ascending path in a state in which the upper guide portion is stored. The lower guide portion forms the descending path and the ascending path together with the upper guide portion. The lower guide portion includes a first path forming member and a second path forming member. The first path forming member forms the descending path and at least partially overlaps a moving area of the upper guide portion at a first position and does not overlap the moving area at a second position.

Image recording apparatus configured to generate data indicating correspondence between supply tray and discharge tray
An upper supply tray is mounted at an upper mount position in a housing. A lower supply tray is mounted at a lower mount position lower than the upper mount position in the housing. A first print engine records an image on a sheet conveyed from the upper supply tray. A second print engine records an image on a sheet conveyed from the lower supply tray. A lower discharge tray supports the sheet on which the image is recorded by the first print engine. An upper discharge tray supports the sheet on which the image is recorded by the second print engine. The upper discharge tray is located at a higher position than the lower discharge tray. A first display displays at least: a first correspondence between the lower discharge tray and the upper supply tray; or a second correspondence between the upper discharge tray and the lower supply tray.

A printer includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on a sheet by an electrophotographic method, and a recording unit configured to record an image on a sheet by an inkjet method. An image recording position of the recording unit is located above an image forming position of the image forming unit.

A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium, a storage unit configured to store ink, a printhead configured to discharge ink supplied from the storage unit to print onto the print medium, and a signal acquiring unit configured to acquire a signal related to a remaining amount of ink in the storage unit. The signal acquiring unit, in accordance with a start of conveyance by the conveyance unit, starts acquisition of the signal.

A transportation portion includes an apparatus body, a cover, first and second path formation portions, and a movement portion. The apparatus body has a transportation path including a downward path and an upward path having portions located at the same level in the Z direction. The cover covers and uncovers the transportation path. The first path formation portion is movable to a first position and to a second position. The second path formation portion defines the upward path and defines the downward path with the first path formation portion. The movement portion moves the first path formation portion in response to opening or closing of the cover. The first path formation portion is positioned in a movement area during a closed state. An image forming system includes a first feeding portion to feed a recording sheet, a second feeding portion to feed an inserting sheet from one of a plurality of supporting portions, and a controller capable of executing a job. In a case of performing a feeding process on a current recording sheet subsequent to a preceding inserting sheet, the controller starts the feeding process of the current recording sheet at a predetermined timing in a state in which sheets of a first amount are supported on the first supporting portion, and starts the feeding process of the current recording sheet at a timing later than the predetermined timing in a state in which sheets of a second amount smaller than the first amount are supported on the first supporting portion.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to set an image position of a reference image in a transport direction of a recording medium to an arbitrary position on a specific page of the recording medium. The reference image is formed using a first color and serves as a reference for an image position of an image of a second color to be formed after the image of the first color is formed. The processor is also configured to adjust the image position for the second color on an adjacent page, located adjacently upstream of the specific page in the transport direction, by using image information of the reference image formed on the specific page.
PAPER HANDLING SYSTEM FOR VARIABLY CONTROLLING FEEDING SPEED OF FEED ROLLER
An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a print engine to form an image on a sheet, a feeding apparatus to pick up a sheet loaded onto a knock-up plate and feed the picked-up sheet to the print engine by using a pick-up roller, a feed roller, and a registration roller, and a processor to, based on a print data being received, control the print engine and the feeding apparatus and allow the received print data to be printed. The processor may variably control a feeding speed of the feed roller and allow the picked-up sheet is conveyed to the registration roller within a predetermined time.
Reprints of delayed pages
An example device includes a page sensor to detect a page of a print medium picked from a source tray of a printer. The device further includes a processor connected to the page sensor. The processor is to determine a delay in detection by the page sensor of the page conveyed by a page feed mechanism. In response to determination of the delay, the processor is to control the page feed mechanism to continue to convey the page through the printer and the processor is further to trigger the printer to reprint data intended for the page to a subsequently picked page of print medium.
