IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND DUSTPROOF COVER
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a paper loading base on which manual-feed paper is loaded, a manual-feed paper conveying unit, and a dustproof cover which covers the paper loading base being in the overhang state. The paper loading base has a lower end rotatably supported on one outer surface portion of the device main body, and is opened from an upper end thereof and disposed at a predetermined oblique angle or in a horizontal overhang state such that an overhang side becomes an upper side in an oblique direction. The manual-feed paper conveying unit is conveys the manual-feed paper on the paper loading base onto a paper conveyance path one by one. The dustproof cover includes a base which engages with the paper loading base, and an opening-and-closing cover which is rotatably connected to the base and is opened upwardly on the overhang side.
DEVICES FOR FURTHER PROCESSING WEB- OR SHEET-TYPE STOCK, PRODUCTION LINE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRINTED PRODUCT
A device for further processing web- or sheet-type stock comprises a further-processing section, in which stock that is supplied on the input side can be processed into printed products. The further-processing section comprises, in the guide path of a processing line through which the stock has run, at least one first combining device relative to the stock path, which can combine one- or multi-layer stock sections to a bundle; a second combining device which can combine the bundles formed by the first combining device to a bundle stack downstream of the first combining device; and a transverse folding device which is arranged functionally downstream of the second combining device and which transversely forms the bundles or bundle stacks relative to the conveying device on the input side when they exit the second combining device. A device for joining several layers is placed in the guide path, such that it can join several or all of the stock sections combined in the first combining device into a bundle, before they are received by the second combining device and is associated with, are arranged downstream of the first combining device. During production of the products, a combined bundle is stapled before it is combined with one or more other bundles and is then transversely folded. In addition, a longitudinal cutting device is provided in the guide path downstream of the transverse folding device.
CONVEYING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A conveying device includes a restrictor disposed at a predetermined distance from a surface of a sheet material conveyed along a sheet-material conveyance path. The restrictor includes a sheet-material opposing portion that opposes the sheet-material conveyance path. The sheet-material opposing portion is movable to a downstream side in a sheet-material conveyance direction.
RECORDING DEVICE AND MEDIUM FEEDING METHOD FOR RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device includes a feeding roller which feeds a medium; and a groove which is provided on a downstream side of the feeding roller in a feeding path of the medium and is used for cutting the medium. The feeding roller feeds the medium to an upstream side before feeding the medium to the downstream side, after the medium is cut at a position of the groove. It is preferable that the recording device further include a control portion which controls the feeding roller so that the feeding roller feeds the medium to the upstream side before feeding the medium to the downstream side, in a case where whether or not there is a possibility that the medium is cut at the position of the groove is determined and thus it is determined that there is a possibility that the medium is cut at the position of the groove.
CONVEYING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A conveying device includes a blower and a conveyor. The blower blows air to a sheet material. The conveyor conveys the sheet material through a blowing region of the blower. The conveyor includes a surface movable member and a presser. The surface movable member conveys the sheet material with movement of a surface of the surface movable member, with a back side of the sheet material supported with the surface movable member. The presser presses at least a portion of a leading end of the sheet material toward the surface movable member in at least an area from a position upstream from the blowing region in a conveyance direction of the sheet material to a position in the blowing region of the blower.
ASSISTED EJECTION OF PRINT JOBS
A method of controlling the ejection speed of a print job that includes, with a density module of a printing device, determining a density classifier based on a region of a plane where print fluid is to be printed for a plurality of sheets of media of a print job; determining a percentage of each sheet of media exceeding a threshold density classifier relative to a total sheet count of the print job; and, based on the percentage, initiating an assisted ejection of the print job from the printing device.
PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus can prevent a print medium from buckling during discharging. In a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is higher than or equal to a specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to a discharging tray at the print conveyance speed, and in a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is lower than the specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to the discharging tray at the specified speed increased from the print conveyance speed.
RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device includes a recording unit, a first transport path, a second transport path, a first discharge roller pair, a second discharge roller pair, a first driving motor configured to drive the first discharge driving roller, a second driving motor configured to drive the second discharge driving roller, and a movement mechanism capable of moving the second discharge roller pair between a sandwiching state where a second discharge driving roller and a second discharge driven roller sandwich a recording medium, and a separated state where the second discharge driving roller and the second discharge driven roller are separated. In a part of a period in which the recording medium is transported, the second discharge roller pair is in the separated state.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
An image recording apparatus includes a recording portion that records an image on a recording medium, a heating portion that heats the recording medium on which recording has been performed by the recording portion, a discharge portion that discharges the recording medium on which recording has been performed by the recording portion, a first conveying path for conveying the recording medium from the recording portion to the discharge portion via the heating portion, and a second conveying path for conveying the recording medium from the recording portion to the discharge portion without passing through the heating portion. In a first section in which the heating portion is disposed on the first conveying path, the recording medium is guided in a direction substantially perpendicular to an installation face of the image recording apparatus. The second conveying path has a second section that is parallel to the first section.
Printer configured to set operation mode to one of first mode and second mode for appropriately determining whether to allow subsequent print control
A printer includes: a printing head; a conveyor; a cutter for cutting the medium to provide a segmented medium; a discharge roller; a counter roller; a sensor for detecting whether the segmented medium remains between the discharge roller and the counter roller; and a controller configured to perform: setting an operation mode to one of a first mode and a second mode depending on a medium kind; controlling the printing head and the conveyor to perform a first print control on the medium; controlling the sensor to detect whether the segmented medium has been removed; and permitting a second print control to be performed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted after the sensor detects whether the segmented medium has been removed. When the operation mode is the first mode, the second print control is permitted without controlling the sensor.
