PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a supply unit configured to supply a print medium, an intermediate roller configured to transport the print medium, a transport roller configured to transport the print medium, a printing unit configured to print an image on the print medium, a reversing path configured to return, to the intermediate roller, the print medium which has been reversed front to back, and a control unit capable of first control for causing a second print medium supplied from the supply unit to overlap a first print medium being printed onto by the printing unit, and second control for causing a second print medium transported from the reversing path to overlap the first print medium being printed onto by the printing unit.
Medium transporting apparatus and post-processing apparatus
A medium transporting apparatus includes a transport belt that has a loop shaped, a cling mechanism that causes the medium to cling to the transport belt, a rotation mechanism that transports the medium by rotating the transport belt, a plurality of detection units that detect an transport direction end of the medium, a controller that corrects a skew of the medium, and a stacker on which the medium transported by the transport belt is stacked, in which the plurality of detection units are arranged at positions that are on an upstream side of the transport belt in the first transport direction and that are different from each other in a width direction, and the controller corrects, according to a result of the detection by the detection units, the skew of the medium in a state of being cling to the transport belt.
Drying speed adjustments via density index analysis
An example of a print system including a dryer to dry a sheet of paper. The print system includes a media feeder to feed the sheet of paper into the dryer and a controller to vary a speed of the media feeder. The print system includes a communication interface to receive data associated with an image to print on the sheet of paper and a processor. The processor is coupled to the controller and the communication interface. The processor is to determine a first density index for a first portion of the image and to determine a second density index for a second portion of the image. The processor is to adjust the speed of the media feeder via the controller based on the first density index and the second density index.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus comprises a supply unit configured to supply a print medium, a first roller configured to transport the print medium, a printing unit configured to print onto the print medium, and a control unit capable of controlling the supply unit and the first roller to create a state of overlap in which a leading end part of a following print medium overlaps a following end part of a preceding print medium on an upstream side of the first roller in the transport direction of the print medium. The control unit adjusts an overlap amount in the state of overlap on the upstream side of the first roller in the transport direction of the print medium based on print data for the preceding print medium and print data for the following print medium.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit, a first conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium in a conveyance direction, a second conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium printed by the printing unit, on a downstream side in the conveyance direction of the first conveyance unit, and a control unit configured to perform reduction control of reducing an overlap amount of a preceding print medium and a succeeding print medium, from an overlap state in which the succeeding print medium overlaps a trailing edge of the preceding print medium. The reduction control includes control of conveying the preceding print medium conveyed by the second conveyance unit faster than the succeeding print medium conveyed by the first conveyance unit, in a state in which the first conveyance unit is capable of conveying the succeeding print medium.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF READING RECORDED IMAGE IN RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a recording path passing a recorder performing recording by ejecting liquid onto a medium; a feeding path through which the medium is fed to the recording path; a discharge path through which the medium after recording performed thereon by the recorder is discharged; a reading path extending through a reader reading an image, provided independently of the recording path, the feeding path, and the discharge path and to which the medium with a recorded image being used to check a state of liquid ejection of the recorder recorded thereon is fed; and a switching portion switching between a first state in which a feeding direction of the medium after recording performed thereon by the recorder is set to a direction toward the reading path and a second state in which the feeding direction is set to a direction other than the direction toward the reading path.
Magnetic-ink reading device and printer
A magnetic-ink reading device includes a housing and a conveyor in the housing. A medium inlet and outlet port for inserting and pulling out a medium printed using magnetic ink are in the housing. The conveyor conveys the medium along a conveying path. The magnetic-ink reading device includes a magnetizing mechanism configured to magnetize the magnetic ink of the medium on the conveying path and a magnetism detection head disposed near the magnetizing mechanism and configured to read magnetism of the magnetized magnetic ink. The magnetic-ink reading device includes a reversing mechanism provided on the medium inlet and outlet port side of the conveying path and configured to reverse front and rear surfaces of the medium on a reversing path on an inside. The reversing mechanism includes a retraction path for temporarily retracting the medium when the magnetism of the medium is read by the magnetism detection head.
Inkjet recording apparatus
An inkjet recording apparatus includes, among a plurality of branch conveyance passages, ones with different conveyance distances for a recording medium. Based on the timing of the sensing of the recording medium by a recording medium sensor, a controller controls a switching portion to make it switch the destination of the conveyance of the recording medium to one of the branch conveyance passages.
Inkjet printing apparatus and printing method with conveying print medium in first direction and second direction and with control of nip of conveyance rollers
An object is to provide a full-line inkjet printing apparatus and a printing method that can suppress occurrence of image degradation in the case where a conveyance roller conveys a print medium and multipass printing is performed. The maximum conveyance amount in a return route is set to be smaller than a distance between the conveyance roller and a print head.
Printing device and printing system
When a printing interruption cause occurs during printing of an image on a printing medium, printing of a page being printed is completed, and further only a position mark is printed on a printing resumption page. Then, a printing unit is stopped, and a conveyance speed is decelerated to stop conveyance of the printing medium. Next, the printing medium is rewound so that printing is resumed from the printing resumption page. Thereafter, the conveyance speed is accelerated to a predetermined speed, and printing is resumed from the printing resumption page on which the position mark is printed.
