11813847 · 2023-11-14 · ·

An image forming apparatus includes a first liquid applier, a second liquid applier, a conveyor, and a heater. The first liquid applier applies liquid to a first side of a recording medium. The second liquid applier applies the liquid to a second side of the recording medium bearing the liquid applied to the first side by the first liquid applier. The conveyor conveys, in a conveyance direction, the recording medium bearing the liquid applied to the second side by the second liquid applier. The heater heats the recording medium conveyed by the conveyor. The conveyor conveys the recording medium in contact with the first side of the recording medium. The heater heats the recording medium at different temperatures between an upstream location and a downstream location in the conveyance direction of the recording medium.

A printing apparatus includes an image printer, a first conveying mechanism configured to convey a printing medium in a first conveying direction, a second conveying mechanism configured to convey the printing medium in a second conveying, a cutting mechanism configured to cut the printing medium into n equal pieces, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform a first conveying process of conveying the printing medium in the first conveying direction to print on a front surface of the printing medium, a second conveying process of conveying the printing medium in the second conveying direction to print on a back surface of the printing medium, an image printing process of printing the page images on the front and back surface in a page number order, and a first cutting process of cutting the printing medium on which the last page image is printed.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A printing apparatus includes a first conveyance path, a conveyance roller, a printing unit, a reverse roller provided at a position on a downstream side of the printing unit in a first direction, a second conveyance path configured to reverse the front and back of the print medium, and a control unit. In a case where a first print medium on which printing has been performed first is conveyed in a second direction via the second conveyance path, the control unit controls the conveyance roller and the reverse roller, such that a trailing edge of the first print medium in the second direction passes through the reverse roller before a second print medium conveyed by the conveyance roller subsequent to the first print medium reaches the reverse roller.

A medium stacker includes a stacking portion, a rotary portion, a medium holder, a medium mover, and circuitry. The stacking portion has a stacking face to stack a sheet medium on which an image is formed. The rotary portion is configured to hold a leading end of the sheet medium in a sheet conveyance direction, reverse the sheet medium on the stacking face of the stacking portion, and convey the sheet medium. The medium holder is configured to hold the sheet medium when the sheet medium is conveyed by the rotary portion. The medium mover is configured to move the sheet medium to a predetermined position in a direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction of the sheet medium while the sheet medium is held by the rotary portion. The circuitry is configured to control the rotary portion and the medium mover.

Printer capable of setting to forcible discharge mode for forcibly expelling printed medium piece out of printer casing

A printer includes a printing unit, a conveying unit, a cutting unit, a casing and a controller. The controller is configured to perform receiving a setting for a discharge mode of a printed medium piece. The controller is configured to further perform, in a case where the discharge mode is currently set to a forcible discharge mode, forcibly discharging the printed medium piece from the casing through the discharging opening, a leading edge of a continuous printing medium being conveyed by a first feed amount in the conveying direction by driving the conveying unit such that the printed medium piece is pushed by the leading edge of the continuous printing medium. The controller is configured to further perform, in a case where the discharge mode is currently set to a non-forcible discharge mode, non-forcibly discharging the printed medium piece from the casing.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A printing apparatus, in a case of performing double-sided printing on a plurality of sheets, performs an overlap reversing operation by controlling a first sheet to stay in a reversing path to position at least a trailing edge of the first sheet relative to a second direction in a conveying path when conveying the first sheet to the reversing path after completion of a printing operation on a first surface of the first sheet, and controls the reversing roller to convey the first sheet and a second sheet fed by a feed roller next to the first sheet, in a state in which the first sheet staying in the reversing path and a leading edge of the second sheet relative to the second direction overlap each other, after completion of the printing operation on a first surface of the second sheet.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes a medium mounting section on which a medium is to be mounted, a reverse-feeding path for reversing the medium that has been fed from the medium mounting section, a recording unit configured to perform recording onto the medium that has been reversed by the reverse-feeding path, and a reverse-discharging path for reversing the medium on which recording has been performed by the recording unit and for discharge the medium to a discharge section configured to discharge the medium, in which when viewed in a medium width direction intersecting a medium transport direction, a path section for reversing the medium in the reverse-feeding path and a path section for reversing the medium in the reverse-discharging path have portions overlapping each other in the vertical direction.
