RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a feeding unit that feeds a medium placed on a medium placing unit located on a back side (Y) of the apparatus; a transport unit that transports the medium fed from the feeding unit; a recording unit that performs recording on the medium transported from the transport unit; a reverse path that transports the medium in a reverse direction after recording is performed by the recording unit to turn over the medium; and a feed driving motor that drives the feeding unit, wherein the feed driving motor is disposed above the reverse path.
Conveyance device and printer
A simple configuration enables easily changing the open or closed state of multiple suction holes while assuring suction. A shutter drum rotates centered on an axis of rotation extending on a transverse axis, and a suction fan that produces negative pressure inside the shutter drum. When one suction hole on the transverse axis is a first suction hole, and another suction hole adjacent on the transverse axis to the first suction hole is a second suction hole, a first communication path including a suction chamber and through-hole communicates with the first suction hole, and a second communication path including a suction chamber and through-hole communicates with the second suction hole. The shutter drum functions as a shutter that, by rotating, selectively changes the open or closed state of the first and second communication paths.

ROLLER STRUCTURE
A roller structure is disclosed and includes at least one roller unit. The roller unit includes a base, an elastic portion, a supporting portion and a rotating wheel. The base is configured to detachably assemble the roller unit on an accommodation seat. The base includes a first lateral edge. The elastic portion is disposed on the base and connected with the first lateral edge. The elastic portion includes a bent section having an end extending and bent from the first lateral edge. The supporting portion is disposed on the elastic portion and connected to the other end of the bent section. The rotating wheel is pivotally connected to the supporting portion. When the rotating wheel is pressed by a driving wheel, the supporting portion is driven to compress the elastic portion to move the rotating wheel toward the base, and the rotating wheel is driven to rotate relative to the supporting portion.
ROLLER STRUCTURE
A roller structure is disclosed and includes at least one roller unit. The roller unit includes a base, an elastic portion, a supporting portion and a rotating wheel. The base is configured to detachably assemble the roller unit on an accommodation seat. The base includes a first lateral edge. The elastic portion is disposed on the base and connected with the first lateral edge. The elastic portion includes a bent section having an end extending and bent from the first lateral edge. The supporting portion is disposed on the elastic portion and connected to the other end of the bent section. The rotating wheel is pivotally connected to the supporting portion. When the rotating wheel is pressed by a driving wheel, the supporting portion is driven to compress the elastic portion to move the rotating wheel toward the base, and the rotating wheel is driven to rotate relative to the supporting portion.
PRINTER AND DIGITAL CAMERA INCLUDING PRINTER
A printer unit includes a device housing including a transport roller and a spreading roller, a roller drive mechanism that is attached to the device housing and includes a drive transmission gear train that drives the transport roller and the spreading roller, and a cover member that covers the roller drive mechanism. The roller drive mechanism includes a gear plate separate from the cover member. The gear plate is fixed to the device housing at two locations and is formed in a plate shape that pivotally supports at least one of rotational shafts of the drive transmission gear train.
PRINTER AND DIGITAL CAMERA INCLUDING PRINTER
A printer unit includes a device housing including a transport roller and a spreading roller, a roller drive mechanism that is attached to the device housing and includes a drive transmission gear train that drives the transport roller and the spreading roller, and a cover member that covers the roller drive mechanism. The roller drive mechanism includes a gear plate separate from the cover member. The gear plate is fixed to the device housing at two locations and is formed in a plate shape that pivotally supports at least one of rotational shafts of the drive transmission gear train.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, first and second rotatable members, a jam detecting portion, a detector, and a controller. When a sheet to be fed to a nip is a first sheet having a first length and a first width, the controller causes the first rotatable member rotating at a first speed to feed the first sheet. When the sheet is a second sheet having is a second length shorter than the first length and having the first width, the controller causes the first rotatable member rotating at a second speed slower than the first speed to feed the second sheet. The controller stops rotation of the first rotatable member in response to detection of the occurrence of a jam by the jam detecting portion.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, first and second rotatable members, a jam detecting portion, a detector, and a controller. When a sheet to be fed to a nip is a first sheet having a first length and a first width, the controller causes the first rotatable member rotating at a first speed to feed the first sheet. When the sheet is a second sheet having is a second length shorter than the first length and having the first width, the controller causes the first rotatable member rotating at a second speed slower than the first speed to feed the second sheet. The controller stops rotation of the first rotatable member in response to detection of the occurrence of a jam by the jam detecting portion.
NORMALIZED PRINT USAGE DETERMINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for generating a normalized page count for a printer includes an encoder that is coupled to the registration motor of the registration rollers. A memory stores an encoder count that is updated as encoder data is received from the encoder. A processor determines the normalized page count from the encoder count stored in memory. The normalized page count substantially reflects the equivalent number of standard pages printed by the printer. The normalized page count is stored as the page count for the printer.
