Image Recording Apparatus
An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a sheet includes a recording section which records the image on the sheet in a transport passage for transporting the sheet in a transport direction and multiple plates which are spaced apart from each other in a widthwise direction. These multiple plates include a first type of plate and a second type of plate. Plates of a first type of plate are configured to overlap a sheet when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction and the widthwise direction, while plates of the second type of plate do not.
TRAY AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A tray is used in a printing apparatus that includes a conveying unit configured to convey the tray holding a printing medium, and a printing unit configured to perform printing onto a print surface of the printing medium held by the tray. The tray includes a placement surface on which a printing medium is to be placed, a pressing member that presses the printing medium placed on the placement surface towards a downstream side of an inserting direction of the tray with respect to the printing apparatus, and a regulating portion configured to regulate a movement of the printing medium by abutting the printing medium pressed by the pressing member.

Inkjet printer and inkjet printer including cutting head
A printer includes a first holding shaft holding side pinch rollers and at least one center pinch roller, grit rollers moving a recording medium while holding the recording medium together with the side pinch rollers and together with the center pinch roller, and a rotator rotating the first holding shaft to cause the side pinch rollers and the center pinch roller to approach, or to be separated from, the grit rollers. The center pinch roller is movable in a direction to be separated from the recording medium, independently from the side pinch rollers.
Dual edge registered sheets to mitigate print head jet dry out on short sheets within inkjet cut sheet printing
Systems, methods, and devices for mitigating print head dry out. In an example embodiment, a system can be implemented, which includes an arrangement of cross rollers and a registration transport for transporting one or more sheets for printing, and a steering mechanism that drives the sheet(s) into the opposing registration print edges of print heads on the registration transportation, wherein the cross rollers only engage when the sheet is being registered to the appropriate edge of the print heads, thereby allowing the print heads to be exercised prior to drying out. When one or more of the sheets are out of the nip, the nip disengages, thereby allowing the next sheet to be stirred on the opposing edge of the registration print heads. The opposing registration print heads comprise an inboard registration edge and an outboard registration edge.
Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus includes a recording section which is provided over a transport passage for transporting a sheet in a transport direction and which has nozzles for discharging an ink onto the sheet; a platen which is provided under the recording section with the transport passage intervening therebetween and which has a plurality of ribs provided to support the sheet while being separated from each other in a widthwise direction of the transport passage perpendicular to the transport direction, the respective ribs protruding upwardly and extending in the transport direction; and a plurality of holding members which are provided to be positioned between the plurality of ribs in the widthwise direction of the transport passage over the platen on an upstream side in the transport direction from the nozzles and which abut against an upper surface of the sheet and press the sheet toward the platen.

Unit capable of being inserted in and pulled out from image forming apparatus main body and image forming apparatus including same
Provided is a unit including a unit case, a positioning frame, and a pair of through shafts. The unit case includes a first frame disposed on a downstream side in a mounting direction, a second frame disposed on an upstream side in the mounting direction, and a pair of end frames. The positioning frame is disposed on an upstream side in the mounting direction with respect to the second frame and is positioned in a direction perpendicular to the mounting direction with respect to an image forming apparatus main body. The through shaft penetrates the first frame, the second frame, and the positioning frame. The through shaft is provided with a regulating pin that engages with the image forming apparatus main body so as to regulate movement of the unit case in an attachment/detachment direction.
