Label Peeling, Universal Printheads and Related Methods
An example disclosed printer configured to peel media from a backing, the printer having a peeler assembly that is engageable between a peeling position, wherein the printer is configured to peel the media from the backing, and a non-peeling position, wherein the printer is not configured to peel the media from the backing. The printer further including a sensor configured to send a signal corresponding to a position of the peeler assembly. The printer further including a communication interface configured to receive the position of the peeler assembly from the sensor and configured to transmit the position of the peeler assembly to a secondary component.
Printer
A printer according to an embodiment includes: a printer body including a supplying part that rotatably holds a roll-shaped sheet member; an opening and closing cover configured to open and close with respect to the printer body; a thermal head disposed on the printer body, the thermal head configured to print on the sheet member; a platen roller disposed on the opening and closing cover, the platen roller positioned at a location opposite to the thermal head and feeding the sheet member in a closed configuration; and a platen roller holding mechanism configured to attachably and detachably secure the platen roller to the opening and closing cover. The platen roller holding mechanism includes a label roll supporter that rotatably guides the roll-shaped sheet member in the supplying part. The label roll supporter includes a cross-sectional arc-shaped surface.
Paper conveyance device, and printer
A paper compartment in which roll paper can be held has an opening positioned along the second axial end of the roll paper and a wall positioned along the first axial end of the roll paper in the axial direction. The paper loading member can be removably installed in the paper compartment through the opening. The paper loading member has a flange and a roll support member that projects from the flange and is inserted into the paper. When roll paper is held in the paper compartment, the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment with a first side of the flange contacting the first axial end of the paper, and the roll support member is inserted into the roll paper. When the paper loading member is installed in the paper compartment, the first side of the flange faces the opening.
Arrangement with a receipt printer arranged in a housing
An arrangement includes a receipt printer for printing a receipt arranged in a housing. The housing includes a pivoting lid which in an open state allows access to the receipt printer and in a closed state prevents access to the receipt printer. The lid has an opening through which a receipt printed by the receipt printer can be output in the closed state. The arrangement has a receipt output unit which in the closed state is arranged in the opening of the lid opposite to the receipt printer, at least a first receipt guiding unit and at least a first elastically deformable element for spring-mounting at least one component of the first receipt guiding unit. The receipt printer has a second receipt guiding unit. The first receipt guiding unit is engaged with the second receipt guiding unit when the lid is moved from the open state into the closed state.
Thermal printer
A thermal printer, includes a head unit including a thermal head configured to perform printing on a recording sheet; a platen unit, which includes a platen roller configured to convey the recording sheet, and is separably combined with the head unit; a printer main body, which has a recording-sheet receiving portion configured to receive the recording sheet, and has the head unit mounted thereto; a printer cover, which has the platen unit mounted thereto, and is coupled to the printer main body so as to be pivotable; and a separator, which is provided in the recording-sheet receiving portion, and is configured to separate parts of the recording sheet, which is rolled into a roll shape around a core body, folded on each other at a rolling start portion, which is rolled around the core body and has a turn-back shape.
PRINTER DEVICE
A printer device includes a guide section, a first projecting section, and a second projecting section. The guide section is disposed to be opposed to a side surface of roll-like continuous paper and includes a guide surface for restricting movement of the continuous paper along a width direction of the continuous paper during conveyance of the continuous paper. The first projecting section is provided on the guide surface side of the guide section and rotatably holds a core section of the continuous paper. The second projecting section has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the first projecting section and is movable between a supporting position where the second projecting section contains an outer circumference of the first projecting section and a storing position where the second projecting section is stored further on an inner side than the guide surface. In the supporting position, the second projecting section rotatably holds a core section of another continuous paper having a core diameter larger than a core diameter of the continuous paper.
Attachment and printing apparatus
An attachment capable of being attached, in a detachable manner, to an accommodation part of a printing apparatus which is for accommodating a print medium, the attachment being configured to support a roll including the print medium which is wound, the attachment including: a housing having a substantially box shape of which an upper part is opened, the housing being configured to accommodate the roll inside thereof in a replaceable manner; an engaging part provided to the housing and configured to engage, in a disengageable manner, to an engaged part provided to the accommodation part when the housing is attached to the accommodation part; and a support part provided to the housing and configured to rotatably support the roll.
Roll printer holder
A printer includes: a container configured to contain a roll into which a belt-shaped print medium is wound, the roll being inserted through an opening; a guide configured to guide the roll, the guide being disposed in the container and having a pair of abutting faces that abut on both side faces of the roll; a holding part that is movable between a first position where the holding part protrudes inwardly from the abutting face and a second position where the holding part does not protrude inwardly from the abutting face, the holding part being biased from the second position to the first position and holding the roll rotatably at the first position; and a displacement part configured to be displaced with motion of the holding part. At least a portion of the displacement part is exposed when a user sees the displacement part through the opening, such that the displacement part is recognizably displaced in a different position depending on whether the holding part is at the first position or at the second position.
PRINTER AND CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTER
Included are a transport unit, a printing unit, and a control unit. In inner circumferential surface printing for performing printing on an inner circumferential surface of a medium, which is positioned inside in the state of being wound up in a roll shape, the control unit causes the transport unit to position a leading end of the medium at a printing start position being a position downstream of a position facing a most downstream nozzle of a nozzle surface in a transport direction, in a state in which the printing unit is at a position at which the nozzle surface does not face the medium being transported by the transport unit, and causes the printing unit to start formation of a printing region on the medium having the leading end positioned at the printing start position.
