The spindle includes a shaft member to be inserted into the roll body, a gear fixed on a tip side of the shaft member in an axial direction, a spacer member contacting both of the shaft member and the gear, and a coupling member coupling the shaft member to the gear. In the axial direction of the shaft member, a contact area of the spacer member and the gear is larger than a contact area of the shaft member and the spacer member. The gear is coupled to the coupling member in the axial direction and the shaft member is coupled to the coupling member in an intersecting direction intersecting the axial direction.

Inkjet Printing Device for Printing with Ink to a Recording Medium in the Form of a Web

An inkjet printing device for printing to a recording medium includes a printing unit that has a plurality of print bars that respectively have one or more print heads. The printing device also includes a transfer printing sled to guide the recording medium, which can be moved into and out of a space below the printing unit. In a print operation state, the transfer printing sled is arranged in the space and guides the recording medium during printing. In a maintenance operation state, the transfer printing sled is moved out of the space. The printing device also includes at least one cleaning element for cleaning at least one print head of the printing module.

In the transport direction of the recording medium, the at least one cleaning element is arranged laterally next to the space in the print operation state and in this space in the maintenance operation state.

A cassette includes a printing tape roll being rotatable and into which a printing tape as a medium to be printed is wound, and an outer peripheral wall disposed on one side in a first direction relative to the printing tape roll. The first direction is a width direction of the printing tape. The outer peripheral wall includes a first side wall extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a second side wall extending in a third direction orthogonal to the first direction and intersecting with the second direction, and a recess wall defining a recess extending from the second side wall toward one side in the second direction. The recess extends in the third direction on one side in the second direction further than the second side wall. At least a portion of the recess overlaps the printing tape roll in the first direction.

The disclosure discloses a printer includes a controller. The controller performs a first feed control process, a temperature-difference calculation process, and a first printing speed determination process. In the first feed control process, in a state where an energizing device does not perform energization to the heating element, the driving device is controlled to perform non-energization feeding while causing a thermal head to contact a print-receiving medium. In the temperature-difference calculation process, during execution of the non-energization feeding, a first deviation between two of the head temperatures which are respectively detected by the first temperature detecting device at different timings is calculated. In the first printing speed determination process, the printing speed is determined on the basis of the first deviation.
