The packaging material has a first side adapted to form outer surfaces of the packages and a second side adapted to form inner surfaces of the packages. The apparatus includes an inlet configured to receive a web of the packaging material and an outlet configured to transfer the web of packaging material out of the apparatus, a web feeding assembly, arranged to feed the web in a web feeding direction from the inlet through the apparatus to the outlet, including at least one drive unit and at least one web direction device, a number of print bars provided with print heads arranged to provide food graded ink on the first side of the web, wherein the at least one drive unit and at least one web direction device provide a first web turning arrangement for turning the web after being received via the inlet such that the first side of the web is facing towards the print heads, and a second web turning arrangement for turning the web after the food graded ink has been provided by the print heads, wherein the first web turning arrangement provides a first slack upstream the number of print bars and the second web turning arrangement provides a second slack downstream the number of print bars.
Sheet conveyor and image forming system
A sheet conveyor includes: a holder that detachably holds a sheet roll; a rotation measuring device that measures a rotation amount of the sheet roll; a conveyance roller that conveys a sheet pulled out from the sheet roll held by the holder; a tensioner that is provided between the holder and the conveyance roller and that contacts with the sheet pulled out from the sheet roll toward the conveyance roller; a position detector that detects a position of the tensioner; a motor that generates driving force for rotating the conveyance roller; and a controller that controls the motor. The controller estimates a diameter of the sheet roll based on a conveyance amount of the sheet caused by rotation of the conveyance roller, a rotation amount of the sheet roll measured by the rotation measuring device, and a position of the tensioner detected by the position detector.
PRINTING A FIBROUS MATERIAL
The present invention refers to a plant (1) for printing a fibrous material (T). The printing plant (1) comprises: a station (14) for supplying a fibrous material configured for supplying the fibrous material along a predetermined operative path, a treating station (10) configured for treating the fibrous material with a treatment composition by applying the composition itself on a first side (T1) of the fibrous material (T) ; and a printing station (6) configured for ink-printing at least part of a second side (T2) of the fibrous material (T) opposite to the first side (T1). Moreover, the present invention refers to a process of printing a fibrous material.
Conveyance device and liquid discharge apparatus
A conveyance device includes a support having a support face configured to support a conveyed object and a fluid introduction device disposed outside the support. The fluid introduction device is configured to introduce a fluid between the support face of the support and the conveyed object, to form a fluid layer for floating the conveyed object. The conveyance device further includes a conveyor configured to convey the conveyed object being floating from the support via the fluid layer.
Digital printing system for printing on fabric including foam pretreatment
The present invention refers to a plant (1) for printing a fibrous material (T). The printing plant (1) comprises: a station (14) for supplying a fibrous material configured for supplying the fibrous material along a predetermined operative path, a treating station (10) configured for treating the fibrous material with a treatment composition by applying the composition itself on a first side (T1) of the fibrous material (T); and a printing station (6) configured for ink-printing at least part of a second side (T2) of the fibrous material (T) opposite to the first side (T1). Moreover, the present invention refers to a process of printing a fibrous material.
AN APPARATUS FOR DIGITAL PRINTING OF CARTON-BASED MATERIAL AND A METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus for digital printing of carton-based packaging material for packages holding liquid food products is provided.
Printing apparatus and method of printing
A printing apparatus (printer) is provided in which a base material is conveyed by a roll-to-roll method and feedback control is performed on a tension imposed on the base material, and which includes a control unit, a first drive motor (front drive motor) configured to control a speed of conveyance of conveying the base material, and a second drive motor (feeding motor, rear drive motor, winding motor) configured to control the tension imposed on the base material. In a case where a conveyance operation for conveying the base material is stopped based on detection of a foreign object, and when a speed of the first drive motor is at a predetermined value or less, the control unit stops the tension control performed by the second drive motor.
