Multi-directional single pass printing
According to an example, multi-directional single pass printing may include utilizing a print head that includes slots that include a first slot for a first ink color, and two or more additional slots. A slot of the additional slots may be disposed on a first side of the first slot, and another slot of the additional slots may be disposed on a second side of the first slot. The additional slots may include a further ink color. Data may be forwarded to a set of slots when a direction bit related to the print head is set to a first value, and to another set of slots when the direction bit is set to a second value. A number of channels for forwarding the data to the slots may be less than the number of slots.
INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
An inkjet recording device includes a conveyance unit, a carriage, one or a plurality of ink heads, a pre-processing head, and a post-processing head. The conveyance unit is configured to convey a recording medium in a conveyance direction. The carriage is configured to reciprocate in a main scanning direction intersecting the conveyance direction. The plurality of ink heads is located on the carriage and each eject an ink. The pre-processing head is arranged upstream of the plurality of ink heads in the conveyance direction and ejects a non-colored pre-processing solution. The post-processing head is arranged downstream of the plurality of ink heads in the conveyance direction and ejects a non-colored post-processing solution. The plurality of ink heads includes a plurality of same-color ink heads arranged to align in the conveyance direction to eject a same-color ink.
Inkjet recording device
An inkjet recording device includes: an inkjet unit that ejects ink to a recording medium while scanning in a main scanning direction; a first treatment liquid ejection head that is arranged side by side with the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction, scans together with the inkjet unit, and ejects a first treatment liquid to the recording medium; and a second treatment liquid ejection head that is arranged side by side with the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction, scans together with the inkjet unit, and ejects a second treatment liquid different from the first treatment liquid to the recording medium, wherein at least one of the first treatment liquid ejection head and the second treatment liquid ejection head is arranged on both sides of the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction.
PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR STORING PROGRAM
A printing apparatus has a plurality of nozzles capable of discharging dark ink and light ink that are of the same type color; the plurality of nozzles includes preceding nozzles that discharge the ink onto the printing medium before the ink discharge of the other nozzles, and succeeding nozzles that discharge the ink onto the printing medium after the ink discharge of the preceding nozzles, and if the amount of the dark ink discharged on the printing target region is larger than a predetermined amount, the printing apparatus discharges a smaller amount of the light ink than the amount of the discharged dark ink onto the printing target region from the plurality of nozzles so that the amount of the light ink discharged from the succeeding nozzles is larger than the amount of the light ink discharged from the preceding nozzles.
Indexing printhead
A method in a printer comprising a first printhead to dispense a first printing fluid and a second printhead to dispense a second printing fluid, the first and second printheads being arranged on a common scan axis that is substantially perpendicular to a media advance direction. The method comprises controlling movement of the first and second printheads relative to a media being printed, between a first index position and a second index position, the second index position being downstream of the first index position, and wherein the movement occurs during a time period between a forward scan and a reverse scan of the first and second printheads across a media being printed.
RECORDING HEAD AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
A light blue ink discharge opening array unit is located between cyan ink discharge opening array units, between the magenta ink discharge opening array units, and not between the black ink discharge opening array unit.
Printing apparatus and printing method
A printing apparatus includes a carriage unit, and carries out printing on a recording medium while transporting the recording medium. The carriage unit includes a first head that discharges an ink and a second head that discharges an ink of the same color, and the second head is disposed so as to be adjacent to the first head in an x axis direction, and to overlap with the first head in a y axis direction. In an outgoing path in the reciprocation of the carriage unit, a printing density of a first image, which the first head prints, gradually decreases toward an upstream side in a transport direction of the recording medium, and the first image includes a dot group, in which at least two dots formed using the ink from the first nozzles are linked to one another in the x axis direction. In addition, in a return path in the reciprocation of the carriage unit, the second nozzles print a second image, which supplements a decrease in the printing density of the first image.
Scanning inkjet printing system
An inkjet printing apparatus includes an inkjet print head arranged to be moveable in a direction of movement along a guiding assembly. The guiding assembly includes a support structure; a strip mounted on the support structure, the strip being rigidly straight in a first direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement and mounted in such way that a straightness in the direction of movement is provided; and an air bearing system operatively coupled to the strip. The strip extends in a vertical plane, the vertical plane being substantially parallel to the direction of movement and being substantially parallel to the first direction. The air bearing system is configured to control a position of the inkjet print head in a horizontal plane relative to the strip during movement of the print head in the direction of movement, the horizontal plane being substantially perpendicular to the vertical plane. Employing such a strip and a suitable mounting method for mounting the strip on the support structure, it is enabled to select a cost-effective and/or light-weight support structure.
Recording apparatus for reducing discharge position deviation of discharged ink, and recording method for the same
Recording is performs that suppresses ink discharge position deviation between scans while suppressing graininess in a case of using multiple types of ink.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD AND LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A liquid ejection head including: an ejection port portion with an ejection port configured to eject liquid in an ejection direction; a pressure chamber that includes therein an energy-generating element to eject the liquid from the ejection port; a supply channel configured to supply the liquid to the pressure chamber; a collecting channel configured to collect the liquid from the pressure chamber; and a pump configured to cause the liquid in the collecting channel to flow into the supply channel, wherein F.sub.ratio is 1.4 or less.
