SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS OF APPLYING, WITH A PRINTHEAD OF A PRINTING SYSTEM, INK TO A SUBSTRATE BASED ON A DISTANCE THE PRINTHEAD HAS MOVED
Systems, apparatuses and methods provides for technology that applies, with a printhead of a printing system, ink to a substrate as the substrate remains stationary and the printhead moves across the substrate. The technology determines, with a distance encoder, a distance that the printhead has moved, and controls application of the ink from the printhead to the substrate based on the distance.
INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
An inkjet recording device includes: an inkjet unit that ejects ink to a recording medium while scanning in a main scanning direction; a first treatment liquid ejection head that is arranged side by side with the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction, scans together with the inkjet unit, and ejects a first treatment liquid to the recording medium; and a second treatment liquid ejection head that is arranged side by side with the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction, scans together with the inkjet unit, and ejects a second treatment liquid different from the first treatment liquid to the recording medium, wherein at least one of the first treatment liquid ejection head and the second treatment liquid ejection head is arranged on both sides of the inkjet unit in the main scanning direction.
Image processing method, image processing apparatus and storage medium
An object is to print a high quality image with resistance to print misalignment. To this end, the image processing apparatus generates quantized data for printing a first dot pattern and a second dot pattern in an overlapping manner. The first dot pattern and the second dot pattern are lattice patterns varying in a combination of two basis vectors. In a combined dot pattern obtained by combining the first and second dot patterns, there is a neighboring dot in which a dot in the first dot pattern and a dot in the second dot pattern are arranged at an interval smaller than a lattice spacing. The neighboring dot includes multiple neighboring dots varying in an approach direction.
Image recording apparatus
A controller acquires image recording data for recording a plurality of passes; determines a first movement distance of a carriage for recording each of the plurality of passes; determines a non-usage ratio that is a ratio of a number of unused nozzles in a last pass of the plurality of passes to a total number of the plurality of nozzles arranged in a conveyance direction; determines a second movement distance in a particular pass which is recorded before the last pass, the second movement distance being a movement distance of the carriage assuming that the particular pass is recorded without using nozzles of a first ratio smaller than or equal to the non-usage ratio; and in response to determining that the second movement distance is shorter than the first movement distance, performs image recording of the particular pass without using the nozzles of the first ratio.
Printing apparatus and printing method
A printing apparatus includes a head configured to discharge liquid to a printing medium, a carriage configured to move the head back and forth to one side and another side in a scanning direction with respect to the printing medium, and a control unit configured to perform printing of a printing image with the liquid by controlling driving of the head and the carriage. When performing printing of an end portion of the printing image on the one side, the control unit performs the printing by a first scan in which the head is moved from the one side to the other side, and when performing printing of an end portion of the printing image on the other side, the control unit performs the printing by a second scan in which the head is moved from the other side to the one side.
Printing apparatus and printing method
A control unit configured to perform multi-pass printing provided that a region of a printing medium including a first region, a region downstream of the first region is a second region, and a region downstream of the second region is a third region, in a first period in which the first region is a target of printing, causes a velocity of paper feed to be slower than in a third period in which the third region is a target of printing; in the first period, causes a standby time of the printing head to be longer than in the third period; and in a second period in which the second region is a target of printing, changes the standby time so that the standby time approaches the standby time in the first period from the standby time in the third period as the first region approaches the printing head.
PRINTING UNIT AND PRINTER
A printing unit includes: a line feed plate moving with a carriage in a line feed operation area; and guide members provided on a unit frame, engaging with the line feed plate, and guiding the carriage and the line feed plate toward one side in a left-right direction as the carriage and the line feed plate move toward one side in a front-back direction in the line feed operation area. Each guide member includes: a line feed guide extending toward one side in the left-right direction as it goes toward one side in the front-back direction and guiding the carriage toward one side in the left-right direction as the carriage moves toward one side in the front-back direction in the line feed operation area; and regulating sections continuing at least to one end in the front-back direction of the line feed guide and regulating the movement of the carriage in the left-right direction.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, LIQUID DISCHARGE METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A liquid discharge apparatus to discharge liquid to apply the liquid to an object includes a head, a mover, a rotator, and processing circuitry. The head has a nozzle surface in which a plurality of nozzle rows each including a plurality of nozzles to discharge the liquid are arranged. The mover relatively moves the head and the object in each of a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to each other along the nozzle surface. The rotator rotates the head along the nozzle surface. The processing circuitry controls the relative movement to correct unevenness of a nozzle interval between the plurality of nozzles along the second direction caused by an inclination between the first direction and a third direction when the head is rotated. The third direction is a direction in which the plurality of nozzles are arranged in each of the plurality of nozzle rows.
Recording method and recording apparatus
A recording method for performing recording on a medium by forming dots by ejecting a liquid from nozzles during scanning. The recording method includes detecting an abnormal nozzle; disposing a normal nozzle in a row where dot missing occurs due to the abnormal nozzle by moving a medium by a first moving amount; performing first complementary recording in which at least a part of a dot missing region is complemented by a first dot which is recorded by the normal nozzle during the scanning; moving the medium by a second moving amount; and performing second complementary recording in which a second dot of which a size is greater than a size of a dot determined based on printing data is recorded on a row adjacent to a row of the abnormal nozzle by the normal nozzle that is positioned adjacent to the abnormal nozzle during the scanning.
PRINTING APPARATUS, RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND PRINTING METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a liquid discharge device, a carriage, and a controller. The liquid discharge device includes a first nozzle row to discharge a first liquid to form an image and a second nozzle row to discharge a second liquid of a type different from the first liquid. The carriage is mounted with the liquid discharge device and reciprocally movable in a main scanning direction. The controller is configured to control the liquid discharge device to discharge the second liquid onto a region of a medium including another region onto which the first liquid is discharged. The controller includes a control unit to control the liquid discharge device to discharge the second liquid from the second nozzle row in both of forward movement and backward movement of the carriage and discharge the first liquid from the first nozzle row in one of the forward movement and the backward movement.
