Ink-jet printer
There is provided an ink-jet printer which includes a head, a carriage, an encoder having a scale and a sensor, a memory, and a controller. The controller executes judging whether or not a recording medium is positioned at an area that can face the carriage, and detecting an abnormal position, and printing an image on a recording medium, and comparing a velocity parameter value acquired and a first threshold value, when the carriage is at a position other than the abnormal position, and comparing the velocity parameter value acquired and a second threshold value corresponding to a velocity slower than the first threshold value, when the carriage is at the abnormal position.
PRINT BAR FOR A MULTI-PASS PRINTER AND MULT-PASS PAGE-WIDE-ARRAY PRINTER
A print bar for a for a multi-pass printer, the print bar comprising a static part configured to extend across a print area of a print target and a moveable part comprising a print bar beam and printer comprising such a print bar.
Image recording apparatus
In an image recording apparatus, a peak load that is the highest load applied to a carriage moving in a first direction in a first load region is highest at a first highest-load position. A second load is highest at a second highest-load position of a second load region. In a retry processing, when a stop position of the carriage which is detected by a detector is located between the first highest-load position and the second highest-load position, the controller moves the carriage in the first direction toward a target position after moving the carriage from the stop position in a second direction to a first retry position located downstream of a restoration position in the first direction.
Movement control device, ink-droplet ejection device, movement control method, and recording medium
A movement control device configured to determine whether the moving unit moved by a driving unit is in a stopped state at a position before a predetermined target stop position, and whether a difference between the detection position and the target stop position is equal to or smaller than a threshold difference, based on a detection position of the moving unit, after the moving unit starts deceleration operation, and switch a control of the driving unit to a position control based on the difference between the detection position and the target stop position, from a speed control based on a designated speed associated with the detection position to the target stop position, if the moving unit is in the stopped state at a position before the predetermined target stop position, and the difference is equal to or smaller than the threshold difference.
Printer
A printer includes a motor power supply line connecting a carriage motor with a power source, a sensor power supply line connecting a rotary encoder with the power source, a circuit breaker provided on the motor power supply line and interrupting electrical power if a cover sensor detects that a front cover is open and permit connection if the cover sensor detects that the front cover is closed, and a controller controlling the carriage motor and a recording head based on a position of a carriage detected by the rotary encoder.
PRINTING APPARATUS, HOME POSITION SETTING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes an apparatus body, a carriage, an encoder, a detection target member, a detector, and circuitry. The encoder detects an amount of movement of the carriage in a main scanning direction. The target member on the carriage has a cutout portion halfway in the main scanning direction. The detector on the body detects the target member. The circuitry controls a position setting operation for setting a home position of the carriage based on a detection result of detection or non-detection of the target member. The circuitry measures an output pulse of the encoder from when the detection result changes from detection to non-detection until when the detection result changes from non-detection to detection, and determines whether a measured value of the output pulse is equal to or greater than a predetermined value set based on a width of the cutout portion in the main scanning direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a carriage which is movably provided in a main scanning direction, a sub-carriage which is movably supported in a sub-scanning direction substantially orthogonal to the main scanning direction with respect to the carriage and performs recording on a recording medium from a held recording head, and a biasing member which is attached to a locking portion of the carriage and a locking portion of the sub-carriage and applies a force to the sub-carriage with respect to the carriage in three directions of the main scanning direction (first direction), the sub-scanning direction (second direction), and a vertical direction (third direction) substantially orthogonal to the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction.
Ink jet printer and movement control method for carriage
An inkjet printer includes a carriage motor that moves a carriage, a carriage driving part that drives the carriage motor, a control value calculating part that calculates a total control value (Wt) composed with a control value for a feedback control and a control value for a feedforward control, which are respectfully referred as a feedback control value (Wb) and a feedforward control value (Wf), and an abnormality judging part that judges whether an abnormality has occurred to the carriage movement based on whether a proportional component (Wp) of the feedback control value has exceeded a threshold value.
DIGITAL PRINTING MACHINE
A digital printing machine includes moving organs suitable for advancing a textile in a determined direction and a printing station. The printing station includes: a cross-beam extending lengthwise substantially orthogonal to the determined direction; a printing carriage having a frame and a printing device; a first moving apparatus adapted to move the printing carriage along the cross-beam; and a control unit associated with said printing device and substantially integral with the cross-beam, the control unit being configured to supply power to at least the first moving apparatus and control signals to the printing device. The control unit is connected to the printing carriage by way of an electrical connection to supply power to the first moving apparatus, and by way of an optical connection to supply the control signals to the printing device.
CARRIAGE MOVING MECHANISM AND LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A carriage moving mechanism including a driving unit including a driving pulley, a driving motor, and a first support member for supporting both the driving pulley and the driving motor, a driven unit including a driven pulley and a second support member for supporting the driven pulley, and a third support member supporting both the driving unit and the driven unit, an annular belt that is wound around both the driving pulley and the driven pulley, a first outer peripheral surface and a second outer peripheral surface facing to the first outer peripheral surface, and a first carriage that is attached to the first outer peripheral surface, wherein the second support member, the third support member, and the first support member are aligned in this order in a first axis, and the third support member is disposed inside the annular belt.
