CARRIAGE ACTIVATED PRINTING DEVICES
In one example, a printing device may include a first motor to transition a carriage between a first position and a second position, the carriage to exert a force on a gate shifter as the carriage transitions between the first position and the second position, the gate shifter to transition between an open position and a closed position in response to the exerted force of the carriage, and a feed swingarm to transition between a first side and a second side of the gate shifter when the gate shifter is in the open position.

Movement mechanism and printing apparatus
A movement mechanism for a movable body including a motor including a rotation shaft, a supporting member that supports the motor, an attachment member fixed to a base body portion and to which the supporting member is attached, a driving pulley coupled to the rotation shaft, a driven pulley attached to the base body portion, an endless belt stretched between the driving pulley and the driven pulley, and the movable body attached to the endless belt, in which the supporting member is configured to be pivotally movable about a position serving as a pivotal axis such that a distance between the driving pulley and the driven pulley shortens, the position being at a side of the driven pulley from the driving pulley in a stretching direction in which the endless belt is stretched between the driving pulley and the driven pulley.
CARRIAGE APPARATUS, PRINTING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A carriage apparatus characterized by comprising a carriage configured to reciprocally move in a predetermined direction, a first motor arranged on a side of one end of a range of movement of the carriage and configured to drive the carriage, a second motor arranged on a side of the other end of the range of movement of the carriage, configured to drive the carriage, and has the same kind of driving characteristics as driving characteristics of the first motor, detection means for detecting a position of the carriage related to the predetermined direction, and control means for controlling driving of the first motor and the second motor by feeding back a detection result detected by the detection means.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a head portion that discharges droplets toward a printing medium while reciprocating on the printing medium; and a controller that controls movement of the head portion during a printing operation such that a movement stop time of the head portion when a movement direction of the head portion is reversed at an endmost portion of a range in which the head portion moves is longer than the movement stop time of the head portion when the movement direction of the head portion is reversed on the printing medium.
Recording device
A recording device includes a medium support portion, a recording head configured to eject a liquid toward a medium supported by the medium support portion, a gantry that includes the recording head and is configured to move relative to the medium support portion in a Y-axis direction, a first linear scale attached to a first attachment member, a first encoder configured to read markings of the first linear scale while moving, together with the gantry, relative to the medium support portion in the Y-axis direction to detect a displacement of the gantry, and a length adjustment unit configured to adjust a length of the first linear scale attached to the first attachment member, by adjusting a tension in the Y-axis direction applied to the first linear scale.
Inkjet printing apparatus
An inkjet printing apparatus includes a mounting unit where a recording medium is mountable, a head unit that ejects ink droplets to the recording medium, a planar direction driving unit that drives at least one of the head unit ejecting the ink droplets and the mounting unit to move in a planar direction and that changes a relative positions of the head unit and the mounting unit in the planar direction, and a height direction driving unit that changes a relative positions of the head unit and the mounting unit in a height direction perpendicular to the planar direction. The planar direction driving unit has a moving speed changing mechanism that changes a carriage speed between the head unit and the mounting unit in the planar direction. The height direction driving unit has a distance changing mechanism that changes a distance between the head unit and the mounting unit.
Printing apparatus, home position setting method, and recording medium
A printing apparatus includes an apparatus body, a carriage, an encoder, a detection target member, a detector, and circuitry. The encoder detects an amount of movement of the carriage in a main scanning direction. The target member on the carriage has a cutout portion halfway in the main scanning direction. The detector on the body detects the target member. The circuitry controls a position setting operation for setting a home position of the carriage based on a detection result of detection or non-detection of the target member. The circuitry measures an output pulse of the encoder from when the detection result changes from detection to non-detection until when the detection result changes from non-detection to detection, and determines whether a measured value of the output pulse is equal to or greater than a predetermined value set based on a width of the cutout portion in the main scanning direction.
Image forming system
A controller is configured to: when both a first conveyor and a second conveyor are operating concurrently, determine whether a reference current value exceeds a threshold value, the reference current value being obtained based on at least one of a first driving current that is a driving current of the first conveyor and a second driving current that is a driving current of the second conveyor; in response to determining that the reference current value exceeds the threshold value, continue an operation of an earlier-driven conveyor that is one of the first conveyor and the second conveyor that is started at earlier timing, and temporarily stop an operation of a later-driven conveyor that is one of the first conveyor and the second conveyor that is started at later timing; and after a driving current of the earlier-driven conveyor drops to a particular standard, restart the operation of the later-driven conveyor.
Control device, computer-readable medium, and method for evacuating print head as needed
A control device includes a processor and a memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to control a print execution device to perform printing on a first sheet and a second sheet, when at least one specific condition is not satisfied with respect to the first sheet being printed, after final partial printing on the first sheet, start final conveyance of the first sheet in a state where a plurality of nozzles are located within a sheet range in which the first sheet is placed in a main scanning direction, and when the at least one specific condition is satisfied, after the final partial printing on the first sheet, move a print head to such a position that the plurality of nozzles are located outside the sheet range in the main scanning direction, before starting the final conveyance of the first sheet.
