SWITCHING APPARATUS FOR A DRIVING SYSTEM
A switching apparatus for a driving system includes a motor, a first function unit, a second function unit and a power switching unit. The power switching unit includes a planetary gear set connected to the motor and driven by the motor and a swinging mechanism connected to the planetary gear set and driven by the planetary gear set. The power switching unit is switchable between a first position, where the power switching unit is drivingly connected to the first function unit, and a second position, where the power switching unit is drivingly connected to the second function unit.
PRINTER AND PRINTING METHOD
According to an embodiment, there is provided a printer including a plurality of printing modes. A first printing mode is a printing mode for discharging a label by a transfer device, the label being still attached to a backing sheet. A second printing mode is a printing mode for discharging the label by the transfer device while peeling off the label from the backing sheet. The printer controls power supply from a storage battery such that a printing device performs printing at a first printing speed when the printing mode is the first printing mode and such that the printing device performs the printing at a second printing speed when the printing mode is the second printing mode, the second printing speed being slower than the first printing speed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING PREPARATION OPERATIONS PRIOR TO IMAGE DATA RECEIPT
An image forming apparatus includes a communication interface, an image forming unit, a plurality of sheet feeders, and a motor configured to selectively apply a drive force any of the sheet feeders. A transmission assembly switches transmission to any one of the sheet feeders. A controller receives preceding data from the communication interface, and, in response, controls the transmission assembly to initiate a switch of the transmission of the drive force to a standard sheet feeder among the plurality of the sheet feeders. In response to receipt control data received after the preceding data, the controller controls the image forming unit, motor, and transmission assembly to form an image on the sheet based on an image forming condition included in the control data.
INK-JET PRINTER
There is provided an ink-jet printer including a conveyer, a recording head, a carriage, an ink receiver and a controller. The controller executes: receiving a recording instruction; determining an ink amount to be jetted in a flushing process; moving the carriage in a first orientation up to a returning position corresponding to the ink amount; moving the carriage in a second orientation opposite to the first orientation from the returning position to a sheet facing area; executing a flushing processing; and executing recording. The returning position is located at a first position downstream from the sheet facing area in the first orientation, under a condition that the determined ink amount is less than a threshold value; and the returning position is located at a second position downstream from the first position in the first orientation, under a condition that the determined ink amount is not less than the threshold value.
Inkjet Recording Apparatus
An inkjet recording device is described in which maintenance is performed by a maintenance unit upon a recording head. The maintenance unit is located on a base unit. The base unit includes a wall portion supporting a plurality of gear shafts protruding in a width direction from the wall portion.
TRANSMISSION LINK ASSEMBLIES
An assembly comprises at least first and second transmission links. Each transmission link controls movement of a respective element coupled to a first side of the transmission link, under control of a common drive source coupled to a second side of the transmission link. A synchronizing unit is interposed between the first side and the second side of each transmission link, to synchronize movement of the respective elements by the common drive source.

A liquid jetting apparatus includes: a head unit; a cap; a cap lifter moving the cap between a capping position in which the cap makes contact with the head unit and an uncapping position in which the cap is separated from the head unit; a motor; a driven device; a first transmission gear transmitting power of the motor to the cap movement device; a second transmission gear transmitting the power of the motor to the driven device; and a movement gear moving between a position at which the movement gear engages with the first transmission gear and a position at which the movement gear engages with the second transmission gear depending on a rotation direction of the motor. At least one of the first transmission gear and the movement gear is made of a synthetic resin material containing glass fiber.

The disclosure discloses a printer including a load circuit, a controller, a power receiving terminal, a first switching circuit, and a second switching circuit. The controller is configured to control voltage supply to the load circuit, and is connected to an input part. The power receiving terminal is configured to be connected to a power feeding terminal of an external power source device. The first switching circuit includes a first switch element configured to switch between conduction and interruption in accordance with a first control signal input from the controller, and is connected between the power receiving terminal and the input part. The second switching circuit includes a second switch element configured to switch between conduction and interruption in accordance with a second control signal input from the controller, and is connected between the battery storage part and the input part.
