PRINTING ASSEMBLY
In a printer assembly for image-wise providing a recording substance on a recording medium, the printer assembly comprises a print surface for supporting the recording medium; a gantry supporting a print head; and a medium supply assembly for step-wise supplying the recording medium over the print surface in a medium transport direction. The print head is configured to provide a swath of the recording substance on the recording medium arranged on the print surface in a scanning direction. The gantry is rotatable in a plane substantially parallel to the print surface such that the scanning direction is rotatable relative to the medium transport direction. Thus, skewing of the recording medium may be compensated such to prevent visibility of banding due to misalignment of subsequently printed swaths.
HEAD UNIT AND LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS INCLUDING SAME
A head unit includes a plurality of heads; and a head mount on which the plurality of heads is arrayed. The head mount includes a position adjuster to adjust a position of each of the plurality of heads, each of the plurality of heads includes cutouts at both ends of each of the plurality of heads in a head alignment direction, the cutouts of adjacent heads are opposed each other, and the position adjuster is disposed between the opposed cutouts of the adjacent heads.
Printhead attachment system
A printhead support structure may have a receiving portion to receive a printhead, first and second portions having an adjustment mechanism therebetween for converting a translational movement of the first portion to a rotational movement of the second portion, and a coupling mechanism coupling the second portion to the receiving portion for adjusting the rotational angle of the printhead. A method for adjusting a position of a printhead coupled to a printhead support may include applying a force to a first portion of the printhead support to effect a translational movement of the first portion, converting the translational movement of the first portion into a rotational movement of a second portion of the printhead support, and applying the rotational movement of the second portion to the printhead.
INKJET HEAD APPARATUS AND PRINTER INCLUDING THE SAME
An inkjet head apparatus includes a carriage including base plates, a head plate supported by the base plates, recording heads each attached to an associated one of openings of the head plate, a pivot between the base plate and the head plate so that the head plate is rotatably supported by the base plate, and an adjusting screw to adjust the positions of the recording heads with respect to the base plates. At least a portion of the pivot and at least a portion of the adjusting screw are disposed rearward of the front ends of the openings and forward of the rear ends of the openings.
RECORDING HEAD, RECORDING HEAD ADJUSTING SYSTEM, AND RECORDING HEAD ADJUSTING METHOD
The present invention provides a recording head, a recording head adjusting system, and a recording head adjusting method. A recording head includes: a head module having a recording surface; a support member that supports the head module; a first direction position adjusting unit that adjusts the first-direction position of the head module; a rotation direction adjusting unit that adjusts the angular deviation of the rotation direction; and a position detection unit that detects the first-direction position of the head module that is used when performing adjustment by the first direction position adjusting unit and the rotation direction adjusting unit. The rotation direction adjusting unit includes a rotation support mechanism for rotatably supporting the head module within the plane parallel to the recording surface and a second direction moving mechanism for moving the adjustment position of the head module in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
Droplet deposition apparatus and methods for determining misalignment thereof
A droplet deposition apparatus (1) comprising: a first head module (101A, 101B, 102A) and a second head module (101B, 102A, 102B) arranged in at least partially overlapping relationship, each head module having a plurality of nozzles in at least one nozzle array (A1, B1); and a storage (200) configured to store a table of determined best aligned nozzle pairs in an overlap region and corresponding skew angles (i) of at least one of the head modules relative to a datum of the droplet deposition apparatus and/or a corresponding positional offset of the second head module relative to the first head module; wherein, in the overlap region, nozzles of the first head module are arranged at a first nozzle pitch (P2) and nozzles of the second head module are arranged at a second nozzle itch (P3). Associated methods in respect of determining misalignment information in respect of such a droplet deposition apparatus, and determining one or more best aligned nozzle pairs in an overlap region between at least two head modules, are also provided.
INK JET PPRINTING APPARATUS
An ink jet printing apparatus includes a printing part that includes head parts each including a head main body part and a base part provided at a peripheral edge of the head main body part, a line block frame for supporting the base part from below, and an urging device for attaching the base part to the line block frame with the base part urged toward the line block frame, the urging device includes a shaft part attached to the line block frame, a bracket part attached via a bearing part to enable up-down movement along the shaft part, a spring part for urging the bracket part downward, and a lock pin protruding downward from the bracket part, the lock pin is arranged on an upper surface of the base part at the time of urging, and the lock pin is lifted upward at the time of releasing urging.
Recording-head position adjustment mechanism, recording-head module, and image forming apparatus
A recording-head position adjustment mechanism adjusts a position of a recording head that discharges liquid droplets. The recording-head position adjustment mechanism includes a supporting member and a discharge angle adjuster. The supporting member includes an upper support to support an upper portion of the recording head and a lower support to support a lower portion of the recording head. The discharge angle adjuster swings the lower portion around the upper portion as a fulcrum to adjust a discharge direction of the liquid droplets from the recording head.
Recording apparatus
A switching portion is configured to change in position between a first switching position and a second switching position, at which the switching portion protrudes more from a bottom surface of a housing than at the first switching position. The first switching position is a position at which the switching portion is located in a state of being in contact with the installation surface when the housing is installed on the installation surface. The second switching position is a position at which the switching portion is located when the housing is not installed on the installation surface. The switching portion does not restrict a change in position of a body in a position-change direction when located at the first switching position and restricts the change in position of the body in the position-change direction when located at the second switching position.
Fluid ejection module mounting aligning method
A fluid ejection module mounting apparatus, including a module mount having a horizontal portion and a vertical portion, a fluid ejection module mounted to the module mount, and a clamp assembly including a recessed portion, a clamp along a wall of the recessed portion, and a lever coupled to the clamp and configured to move the clamp from an open position to a closed position.
