All of the discharge openings in the actuated subset are spaced from respective points of impingement of the liquids on the surface between minimum and maximum clearances (B, C) from the respective points of impingement. The minimum clearance (B) is a minimum flight distance that each of the defined liquid quantities respectively requires to transform from a liquid column ejected from the respective actuated discharge opening into a substantially spherical liquid droplet. The maximum clearance (C) exceeds the minimum clearance (B) by a predetermined distance (t).

The ejection end position is a position at which ink ejection by the ejector ends before reaching a turn position. An ejection start position is a position at which ink ejection by the ejector starts after turning at the turn position. Based on positional relationship between the ejection end position and a standard position, the controller adjusts timing of conveyance of the sheet or shift the turn position from the standard position in a direction of reducing an overlap between a sheet conveyance period after the ejector passes the ejection end position and an ejector deceleration period before the ejector reaches the turn position. The standard position is a standard turn position of the ejector and is determined from the ejection end position and the ejection start position.

An image recording apparatus includes a belt passed around a drive pulley and a driven pulley, a support member configured to support a recording head and fixed to the belt, a holder member, having a claw part, configured to hold the driven pulley, and a frame having a first opening for the claw part to penetrate. The holder member is attached to the frame such as to be movable relative to the drive pulley. The first opening has an enlarged opening portion allowing the claw part to pass through without engaging with the frame on one side closer to the drive pulley. At least a portion of the claw part is positioned within a part of the first opening excluding the enlarged opening portion in a state where the holder member is positioned in a predetermined location closer to the drive pulley.
