Ink-jet recording apparatus
An ink-jet recording apparatus may include an ink-jet head having: individual connection flow channels through which ink can be discharged from pressure chambers; and a common flow channel at which ink from the individual connection flow channels merges, wherein when the ink is ejected, in a nozzle through which the maximum amount of ink per unit time is ejected, the relationship of (Fn/Fi)≤10 is satisfied, Fn representing the amount of ink ejected per unit time from the nozzle, and Fi representing the average flow rate of ink discharged per unit time from the individual connection flow channels, and the relationship of (Rc/Rt)≤10 is satisfied, Rc representing the flow channel resistance of the common flow channel, and Rt representing the synthetic resistance of the individual connection flow channels.
Printer fluid ports
An example fluid handling system for a printer is disclosed. In an implementation, the fluid handling system includes a first compartment, a second compartment, and a fluid port. The first compartment is fluidly coupled to the second compartment through the fluid port and the first compartment, second compartment and fluid port are disposable within a printer. In addition, the fluid handling system includes a barrier disposed within the fluid port. The barrier separates the fluid port into a first channel and a second channel, wherein the barrier is movable within the fluid port.
FLUID EJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING FLUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A fluid ejection apparatus executes a cleaning process and an ejection operation of ejecting fluid from ejection ports while causing the fluid to flow from a supply port to a fluid collection port of a flow channel provided in a fluid ejection head. Moreover, the fluid ejection apparatus adjusts a flow rate of the fluid flowing in the flow channel to a first flow rate during the ejection operation and adjusts the flow rate of the fluid flowing in the flow channel to a second flow rate higher than the first flow rate at least during the cleaning process.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
An object is to provide a liquid ejection apparatus and a method of controlling a liquid ejection apparatus capable of preventing bubbles generated by kogation removal from interfering with the kogation removal. To this end, in a long liquid ejection head with a liquid circulated therethough, a pressure chamber is pressurized and a voltage is applied to a heat applying portion and an electrode to perform kogation removing cleaning.
Liquid ejecting unit and liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting unit includes: a first chamber; a second chamber; a third chamber; a fourth chamber; a first liquid passage for supplying a first type of liquid to the first chamber and the third chamber; a second liquid passage for supplying a second type of liquid to the second chamber and the fourth chamber, the second type of liquid differing from the first type of liquid; a first fluid passage for supplying fluid to the first chamber and the second chamber; and a second fluid passage for supplying the fluid to the third chamber and the fourth chamber.
Method of operating an inkjet printhead
A method of operating an electrostatic ink jet printhead, the printhead comprising: one or more ejection tips from which, in use, ink is ejected, the one or more ejection tips defining a tip region; a printhead housing, the printhead housing defining a cavity in which the one or more ejection tips are located; the method comprising the steps of, during a printing operation, passing a vapour into the cavity to reduce evaporation of ink in the tip region.
Liquid ejection head
In a liquid ejection head, an ejection pressure is applied to a pressure chamber for liquid ejection from a nozzle. A descender extends in a first direction and includes a first end connected to the pressure chamber and a second end. A communication passage is connected to the second end, extends in a second direction crossing the first direction, and has a first dimension in the first direction. The nozzle is positioned at the communication passage such that a shortest distance between an outer periphery thereof and a center of the second end is greater than 0.5 times a second dimension of the second end in the second direction. When viewed in the first direction, the center of the second end and a center of a cross-section defined by the nozzle to be orthogonal to an extending direction of the nozzle intersect an axis of the communication passage.
LIQUID EJECTING HEAD AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
Wall surfaces of the nozzle channel include a first wall surface which extends in the first direction and in which the nozzle is provided and a second wall surface which extends in the first direction and is opposite to the first wall surface, wall surfaces of the first communication channel include a third wall surface which extends in the second direction and a distance from which to the nozzle in the first direction is longest and a fourth wall surface which extends in the second direction and is opposite to the third wall surface, and a fifth wall surface which extends in a third direction set between the first direction and the second direction is provided between the second wall surface and the fourth wall surface.
Liquid discharge apparatus and image recording apparatus including the same
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus configured to discharge a liquid, including a channel member for the liquid. The channel member is formed to include: a pressure chamber configured to contain the liquid; a nozzle configured to discharge the liquid; a connection channel connecting the pressure chamber and the nozzle; and a discharge channel which is connected to the connection channel so as to discharge the liquid in the connection channel or connected to the pressure chamber so as to discharge the liquid in the pressure chamber. An intersection line between an orthogonal plane orthogonal to an extending direction of the discharge channel and an upper surface of the discharge channel defining an upper portion of the discharge channel has an arc-like shape protruding upwardly.
