Easy replacement of thermal print head and simple adjustment on print pressure
Embodiments of the present invention describe a thermal print head (TPH) that is easily replaced in a slot on the side of a thermal printing device using a push/eject mechanism. Other embodiments of the present invention describe a thermal printing device where the print pressure is easily adjusted for different types of printing media (labels) by turning a turnknob. In preferred embodiments, the turnknob has three print pressure settings, high, medium, and low.
HEAD POSITION ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM AND LINE HEAD
A head position adjustment mechanism including: a head fixing section for fixedly supporting a head section; a linear-motion mechanism to which the head fixing section has been attached; and a bracket to which the linear-motion mechanism has been attached, the bracket has a tapered pin attached to the bracket and a plunger attached to the bracket, the tapered pin and the plunger facing each other, the tapered pin has its tapered part brought into contact with a first side end of the head fixing section in the X-axis direction, the plunger biases a second side end of the head fixing section in the X-axis direction toward the tapered pin, and moving up and down the tapered pin causes the head fixing section to linearly move in the X-axis direction so that the position of the head fixing section is adjusted.
Liquid ejecting head and liquid ejecting recording apparatus
A liquid ejecting head is mounted on a carriage in which a first positioning hole defined by a first inner surface is provided. The liquid ejecting head includes a first positioning member and a first intermediate member. The first intermediate member includes a first expansion portion being capable of being inserted into a first positioning hole and abutting on the first inner surface by expanding in a radial direction intersecting with an insertion direction of the first expansion portion. The first expansion portion includes a first insertion hole into which the first positioning member is inserted and expands in the radial direction by the first positioning member being inserted into the first insertion hole.
PRINTER AND HEAD UNIT
To provide a printer that can reduce adhesion of a mist to a liquid ejection surface and hence can reduce occurrence of a misprint.
A printer includes a head unit 16 including an ink jet head 11 that ejects liquid from a nozzle hole 13 of a nozzle row 14 being open in a liquid ejection surface 12 arranged on a surface facing a printing medium 3, and a carriage 10 on which the ink jet head 11 is mounted; a plasma actuator 20 that generates an airflow with respect to a platen gap; and a controller 30 that controls the head unit 16 and the plasma actuator 20.
Removably retaining a print head assembly on a printer
A system for removably retaining a print head assembly includes a bracket holding a print head assembly and a shaft for receiving the bracket on the shaft. The shaft includes a retaining assembly, a first shaft section having a profile geometry to allow the bracket to be received onto the shaft, a second shaft section having a profile geometry preventing removal of the bracket from the shaft, and a positioning assembly configured to resiliently engage the bracket. When the bracket is received on the shaft at the first shaft section, the positioning assembly can engage and releasably reposition the bracket onto the second shaft section and against the retaining assembly.
Print-head module
A print-head module for a single-pass inkjet printer contains a housing component with a transverse bracket which extends in the X-direction and on which a number of print heads are arranged which are adjusted positionally with respect to at least one reference position. A load-bearing frame with a supporting device is provided for supporting the load-bearing frame. The housing component is mounted on the load-bearing frame such that it swings about a pendulum axis. Furthermore, a single-pass inkjet printer has at least one print-head module of this type. The inkjet printer contains a frame construction with a support, on which the at least one print-head module is placed by use of the supporting device.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD AND LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid ejection head which can achieve suppressing the influence of static electricity and the increase of a mounting force as well as downsizing and space saving of the liquid ejection head. The liquid ejection head is attachable and detachable with respect to a body connector provided on a liquid ejection apparatus body. Further, the liquid ejection head includes a head connector including a terminal which can be electrically connected to the body connector and a grounding member which is held at a coverage position where the terminal is covered in a non-contacting state with the body connector. The grounding member is formed with a deformable electroconductive member, and, as the head connector is made to move to a mounting position with respect to the body connector, is pressed by the body connector and is displaced to a position apart from the coverage position. Thus, the body connector can be connected with the terminal.
Printer with movable carriage
A printer having a carriage (10) movable along a guide beam (12) in a main scanning direction (y), and a number of print heads (14) mounted on the carriage (10), each print head having a plurality of printing elements (16), wherein the carriage (10) has at least two sub-carriages (38) each of which carries at least one of the print heads (14) and is independently guided at the guide beam (12), and the sub-carriages (38) are coupled for joint movement in the main scanning direction (y) but are movable relative to one another in a sub-scanning direction (x) normal to the main scanning direction (y).
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD AND RECORDING APPARATUS
A liquid ejection head includes a liquid ejection portion configured to eject a liquid and a liquid supplying member 2220. The liquid supplying member 2220 includes a first face 2227, a second face 2228 that is the back face of the first face 2227, a first connecting portion 2241 provided on the first face 2227 and fluidly connected to a main body 1001, a second connecting portion 2242 provided on the second face 2228 and fluidly connected to the liquid ejection portion, and an interior channel communicating the first connecting portion 2241 and the second connecting portion 2242. The interior channel includes a portion 2246 extending toward the first face 2227 and a portion 2247 extending toward the second face 2228.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD, LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF ATTACHING LIQUID EJECTION HEAD
A page-wide liquid ejection head configured to be removably installed in a main body of a liquid ejection apparatus includes a connection part for liquid through which a liquid is supplied from the main body and an electrical connector through which an electric signal is supplied from the main body. In the liquid ejection head, the connection part for liquid and the electrical connector are located at one side of the liquid ejection head in the longitudinal direction and are provided to face different directions from each other.
