A method of manufacturing a printer carriage comprises providing a printhead carrier component to receive a plurality of printheads according to a predefined printhead layout, providing a frame component, and attaching the printhead carrier component to the frame component. The printhead carrier component and the frame component are distinct components, which can be separately manufactured.

The first supporting frames 122 are mounted on the mount 300 while both end portions of the first supporting frames 122 in a longitudinal direction are supported. Each of the second supporting frames 170 is provided with a bending correction mechanism 340 that applies a pressing force to the first supporting frame 122 to correct the bending of the first supporting frame 122.

In a posture in which the liquid ejection head is mounted on the liquid ejection apparatus, the electrical circuit substrate is located above the element substrate in the vertical direction, on the electrical circuit substrate, a connector for electrically connecting with an electrical connecting member comprised by the liquid ejection apparatus is provided, and on the electrical circuit substrate, the connector is provided only on a top surface facing in a direction opposite to the ejection port surface.

The pressure member presses a portion of the head module adjacent to the mounting table. The operation member transitions the pressure member from a first state to a second state when work of mounting the head module on the mounting table is performed. In the first state, the pressing by the pressure member is deactivated, and in the second state, the pressing by the pressure member is activated. The operation member exists outside an enveloping surface of the head module during the work of mounting the head module on the mounting table.
