Inkjet printhead with encapsulant-retaining features
A MEMS chip assembly including: a support structure having a chip mounting surface; a MEMS chip mounted on the chip mounting surface, each MEMS chip having an active surface including one or more MEMS devices and a plurality of bond pads disposed alongside a connection edge of the MEMS chip; electrical connectors connected to the bond pads; and an encapsulant material covering the electrical connectors. The MEMS chip has encapsulant-retaining trenches defined in the active surface extending alongside the connection edge, each encapsulant-retaining trench being disposed between the bond pads and the MEMS devices.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A conveyer conveys an ejection target in a conveyance direction along a conveyance path including a facing position facing a nozzle surface of a liquid ejection head. A distance sensor outputs a distance signal that changes depending on a distance between the nozzle surface and a surface of the ejection target. A controller performs: receiving the distance signal outputted from the distance sensor and positional information relating to a position of the ejection target on the conveyance path; and during ejecting liquid from the nozzle to record an image on the ejection target, changing at least one of a determination condition and a coefficient based on the positional information, the determination condition being a condition for determining whether to interrupt recording of the image by referring to the distance signal, the coefficient being multiplied by a value of the distance signal when determining whether to interrupt recording.
Inkjet printhead with grout retaining features
An inkjet printhead includes: an elongate support having a printhead mounting surface; a plurality of butting printhead chips mounted on the printhead mounting surface, each printhead chip having an ink ejection surface including one or more nozzle rows; and a grout material disposed between butting edges of each butting pair of printhead chips. Each printhead chip has a grouting trench defined in the ink ejection surface, the grouting trench extending alongside at least one butting edge and the grouting trench being disposed between an endmost nozzle of each nozzle row and the butting edge.
Liquid droplet discharging unit, liquid droplet forming device, and stirring device
Provided is a liquid droplet discharging unit including a liquid droplet discharging port, a liquid retaining section including the liquid droplet discharging port, two tubes disposed in communication with the liquid retaining section, and first and second liquid sucking/ejecting members coupled to the two tubes respectively, wherein while the first liquid sucking/ejecting member is in a sucking or ejecting state, the second liquid sucking/ejecting member is in a non-sucking or non-ejecting state correspondingly.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A liquid discharge apparatus includes an actuator and a drive circuit. The actuator is configured to cause liquid to be discharged from a nozzle. The drive circuit is configured to apply a waveform to the actuator during a discharge cycle in accordance with a discharge trigger and to cause a voltage of the actuator to be maintained at a value from an end of the discharge cycle until reception of a subsequent discharge trigger.
ACTUATOR DRIVE CIRCUIT OF LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND PRINT CONTROL APPARATUS
An actuator drive circuit of a liquid discharge apparatus includes a discharge waveform generating circuit, a sleep waveform generating circuit, and a wake waveform generating circuit. The discharge waveform generating circuit is configured to generate a plurality of drive waveforms to be applied to actuators of the liquid discharge apparatus for liquid discharge. The drive waveforms correspond to gradation values of gradation scale data. The sleep waveform generating circuit is configured to generate a sleep waveform to be applied to the actuators. The sleep waveform causes a voltage of the actuators to transition to a first voltage without liquid discharge. The wake waveform generating circuit is configured to generate a wake waveform to be applied to the actuators. The wake waveform causes the voltage of the actuators to transition to a second voltage higher than the first voltage without liquid discharge.
CONTROL DEVICE, COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR EVACUATING PRINT HEAD AS NEEDED
A control device includes a processor and a memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to control a print execution device to perform printing on a first sheet and a second sheet, when at least one specific condition is not satisfied with respect to the first sheet being printed, after final partial printing on the first sheet, start final conveyance of the first sheet in a state where a plurality of nozzles are located within a sheet range in which the first sheet is placed in a main scanning direction, and when the at least one specific condition is satisfied, after the final partial printing on the first sheet, move a print head to such a position that the plurality of nozzles are located outside the sheet range in the main scanning direction, before starting the final conveyance of the first sheet.
LIQUID DISPENSING APPARATUS AND LIQUID DISCHARGING DEVICE
