Each drop ejector includes a nozzle, an ink inlet, a pressure chamber and an actuator
Liquid ejecting head and liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting head includes driving elements and electrodes each extending a second direction for ejecting liquid of pressure chambers through nozzles. The driving elements are classified into a first element group and a second element group. The electrodes are arranged along a first direction intersecting the second direction and are classified into a first electrode group electrically connected to the first element group, a second electrode group electrically connected to the second element group and a third electrode group not contribute to the ejecting liquid.
Compliant printhead locating apparatus for a print module
A single pass inkjet printer that utilizes a modular printing system with one or more self-contained printing modules, where each printing module is easy to remove and replace from a large printing machine, thus resulting in an overall system that is easy to service and maintain Each module is a self-contained printer including an ink supply, printhead drive electronics, and printhead assembly in order to provide one color or fluid of inkjet printing capability. Each module includes a precise three-point compliant self-aligning mount system to obtain accurate printhead positioning, and a unique integrated printhead tending system that includes a compact movable vacuum knife for cleaning the printheads, and a printhead capping station for sealing and protecting the printheads from the ambient environment when not in use.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PRINTING BAR UNIT FOR A PRINTING SYSTEM, AND A PRINTING BAR UNIT
A method for manufacturing a printing bar unit for a printing system includes the steps of providing a support bar having a plurality of primary mounting positions, providing a plurality of exchangeable printheads having a plurality of inkjet nozzles, and releasably mounting the printheads to the support bar. Preceding the step of releasably mounting the printheads to the support bar, a plurality of reference organs are connected at the primary mounting positions to the support bar and undergo an alignment finishing process for forming a plurality of accurate secondary mounting positions, and then in a subsequent step the printheads are releasably mounted to the secondary mounting positions on the reference organs. A dimensional tolerance of the secondary mounting positions on the reference organs relative to each other is more accurate than a dimensional tolerance of the primary mounting positions on the support bar relative to each other.
HEAD SYSTEM
There is provided head system including: head and channel member. The head includes four manifolds each having: common channel extending in first direction and inlet connected to the common channel. The four manifolds include first to fourth manifolds. The channel member includes: first member having supply port, and second member. The channel member is formed with first to fourth supply channels extending between the supply port and the inlet of the first to fourth manifolds, respectively. In two of the four manifolds, the inlet is connected to end on first side of the common channel, and in remaining two of the four manifolds, the inlet is connected to end on second side of the common channel. Each of the third and fourth supply channels is formed in both the first and second members.
Liquid ejection head
A liquid ejection head, including: a first head unit; a second head unit shifted with respect to the first head unit in both of a first direction in which nozzles of the head units are arranged and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and disposed so as to overlap the first head unit in the second direction; and a first wiring member having flexibility and drawn from the second head unit in the second direction toward the first head unit, wherein the first wiring member includes a large-width portion on which a drive circuit is mounted and a small-width portion having a width in the first direction smaller than a width of the large-width portion in the first direction, and wherein the small-width portion passes through a space existing next to the first head unit in the first direction and extends in the second direction.
LIQUID JET HEAD AND LIQUID JET APPARATUS
A liquid jet head includes: a nozzle plate including a nozzle array, the nozzle array including a plurality of nozzle holes each extending in a Z direction, the nozzle holes being arranged side by side in an X direction; a head chip disposed in a +Z direction with respect to the nozzle plate and including ejection channels communicating with the respective nozzle holes; a manifold disposed in a +Y direction with respect to the head chip, the manifold being configured to support the head chip by a face facing a −Y direction and including an ink flow path communicating with the ejection channels; and a drive board supported on the face facing the −Y direction of the manifold and electrically connected to the head chip.
