Method of capping printheads arranged along curved media path
A method of capping printheads positioned along a curved media path having an apex. The method includes the steps of: providing a first printhead upstream of the apex and a corresponding first capper downstream of the first printhead; providing a second printhead downstream of the apex and a corresponding second capper upstream of the second printhead; moving the first capper towards the first printhead and capping the first printhead; and moving the second capper towards the second printhead and capping the second printhead. The first and second cappers are moved in opposite directions away from the apex for capping the first and second printheads.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CORRECTION METHOD THEREFOR
A printing apparatus includes a printhead having a plurality of chips each including a plurality of nozzle arrays which are arranged in a predetermined nozzle array direction and each of which is formed from a plurality of nozzles and energy generation elements provided in correspondence with the nozzles of each nozzle array and each configured to generate energy used for discharging ink. The apparatus relatively moves the printhead and a print medium in a direction intersecting the nozzle array direction, reads a predetermined test pattern printed on the print medium by driving the printhead, analyzes the read test pattern, calculates a slant of the printhead with respect to a reference based on a result of the analysis, and corrects the calculated slant of the printhead by moving the printhead.
Liquid discharge apparatus
The width by which the first, second heads overlap each other cross-sectionally along the first direction is greater than the width by which the fifth, sixth heads overlap each other cross-sectionally along the first direction.
FLUID EJECTION DIE WITH ANTECHAMBER SIDEWALLS THAT CURVE INWARD
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluid ejection die is described. The fluid ejection die includes a fluid feed slot to deliver fluid from a reservoir to an array of ejection chambers fluid connected to the fluid feed slot. Each ejection chamber includes at least one fluid actuator and an opening through which fluid is to be ejected. The fluid ejection die also includes a number of antechambers. An antechamber includes sidewalls that curve inward.
INKJET RECORDING HEAD AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
An inkjet recording head comprising a flow channel member, wherein the flow channel member is formed of a heat-cured product of a molding material comprising a resin composition comprising a thermosetting epoxy resin and a curing agent, and a filler; the filler comprises alumina and silica; and with d50 as a median diameter of the silica and with alumina A as the alumina having a median diameter of d50/4 or less, the content of the alumina A is 11 parts by mass or more relative to 100 parts by mass of the silica.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD
Provided is a liquid ejection head including plural liquid chambers arranged in rows, each liquid chamber being provided with an orifice configured to eject liquid filling the liquid chamber and an ejection energy generating element, wherein the liquid ejection head includes: a liquid supply path that extends in a direction that the plural liquid chambers are arranged and individually communicates with the plural liquid chambers; a direction change flow path that communicates with the liquid supply path and extends in a direction transverse to the liquid supply path; and a common supply flow path that communicates with the direction change flow path and extends in a direction transverse to the direction change flow path, such that the direction change flow path includes a body portion and at least one grooved flow path, which is narrower than the body portion.
Printing position adjustment method and storage medium
Misalignment of printing positions between print heads associated with thermal expansion is reduced without increasing a data processing load. To this end, printing element substrates in a reference head and an adjustment target head are adjusted to a target temperature, and a liquid is circulated through the print element substrates. After thermal expansion of the reference head and the adjustment target head reaches a steady state, a first printing region being a printing region of the reference head and a second printing region being a printing region of the adjustment target head in a longitudinal direction are obtained from an image printed by using all printing elements. Then, used regions to be used for actual printing are set among the printing elements arranged on the reference head and the adjustment target head based on the first printing region and the second printing region.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A recording apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head including a heating element, a first protection layer that blocks contact between the heating element and liquid, a second protection layer that covers at least a portion of the first protection layer to be heated by the heating element and that functions as a first electrode, a second electrode that is electrically connected to the first electrode through the liquid, an ejection port that ejects the liquid, and a temperature detection element that corresponds to the heating element, and a detection unit configured to detect a feature point in a temperature curve that indicates a relationship between time and temperature, in which a combination of a potential set for the first electrode and a potential set for the second electrode in a case where printing is performed varies from that in a case where the detection unit detects the feature point.
Fluidic die assemblies with rigid bent substrates
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die assembly is described. The fluidic die assembly includes a rigid substrate having a bend therein. A fluidic die is disposed on the rigid substrate. The fluidic die is to eject fluid from a reservoir fluidly coupled to the fluidic die. The fluidic die includes an array of ejection subassemblies. Each ejection subassembly includes an ejection chamber to hold a volume of fluid, an opening, and a fluid actuator to eject a portion of the volume of fluid through the opening. The fluidic die assembly also includes an electrical interface disposed on the rigid substrate to establish an electrical connection between the fluidic die and a controller. The fluidic die and the electrical interface are disposed on a same surface on opposite sides of the bend.
