COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR COTTON CELL CULTURE
Compositions, kits, and methods for preparing a plant cell composition are provided. Compositions, kits, and methods for engineering plant cells are also provided. In some cases, compositions, kits, and methods provided herein can be used to produce cotton.
Method and apparatus for substantially isolating plant tissues
The present invention discloses and claims methods and devices for the rapid mechanical isolation of monocot plant tissues suitable for transformation or tissue culture. The invention includes mechanical devices for substantially isolating target plant tissues for use as transformable explants, and propagation of transgenic plants and plant tissues.
CAROUSEL ISOLATOR
Work on or in an isolator assembly is made difficult by the gloved intervention points also with regard to the movement space. Any facilitation can contribute to a lower physical effort and to a lower error quota. According to a further advantageous embodiment of the isolator assembly, this can therefore have operating devices for operating a rack and/or for operating the control device of the isolator assembly for users, in particular by keypad at a gloved intervention point and/or via voice recognition and/or by foot pedals. Details relating to these devices can be obtained from the application WO 2011/124 209 A, the relevant content of which is also made the content of the present application.
Compact apparatus for continuous production of a product substance from a starter material grown in aquaculture conditions
An apparatus for continuous growth and production of a product substance. The apparatus may comprise an input unit for receiving at least one starting material, wherein the starting material is one of at least an aquatic organism; a growing unit for continuous aquatic growth of the at least one starting material to produce at least a culture; a buffering unit for accumulating and upholding at least a portion of the culture grown in the growing unit, wherein the buffering unit is configured to balance between demand and supply of a product substance produced by the apparatus; a nozzle for delivery of a demanded fraction of the upheld portion of the culture as the product substance; and a control unit connected to the input unit, the growing unit, the buffering unit and configured to control the operation of the apparatus.
System for Transporting Plant Clones
The present invention provides a system for transporting plant clones that have developed root systems outside solid cultivating media. The transporting system comprises stem collars that hold plant clones. The stem collars are made of biodegradable materials so that plant clones can be transplanted to the field with the collars. The plant clone transporting system also comprises a collar tray to hold stem collars and a portable tank to hold water or solid media that holds water, such as rockwool and perlite, to provide favorable conditions to the root systems of the plant clones, so they can survive a long transportation.
PLANT TRANSFORMATION WITHOUT SELECTION
The invention provides methods for identifying regenerated transformed plants and differentiated transformed plant parts, obtained without subjecting plant cells to selective conditions prior to regenerating the cells to obtain differentiated tissues. In particular embodiments, the plant cells are corn plant cells. Methods for growing and handling plants, including identifying plants that demonstrate specific traits of interest are also provided.
Method and apparatus for regeneration, acclimatization, and conditioning of plant propagules
A method and apparatus for the regeneration, acclimation and conditioning of in vitro derived plant propagules is presented. The apparatus comprises a regulated chamber, a laminar flow work station coupled to the regulated environment, and a supply compartment. A process control system regulates the chamber to sterile or near sterile conditions. The process control system monitors and modulates the microenvironment, nutritional profile and frequency of fertigation, atmospheric composition, as well as the quality and quantity of irradiance incident on propagules in the sterile chamber. This controlled environ optimizes propagules regeneration, and facilitates the establishment of photoautotrophism and homeostatic capacity of plant tissues. Furthermore, the apparatus allows for the metabolic and morphologic conditioning of plantlets for high intensity indoor cultivation as well as the inoculation of plantlets with beneficial bacteria and fungi which increase metabolic function and provide a protection from colonization of plantlets by pathogenic microflora through spatial occupation.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROPAGATING PLANTS
A method and a device for propagating plants, by way of which the risk of contamination can be minimized and the costs of the production of plants can be reduced. This is achieved in that the plants to be propagated are automatically grasped by a first gripper and separated, the individual plants, hanging on the first gripper, are systematically cut into multiple clones and the individual clones are automatically transported away by a second gripper for further processing.
Medium and culture method for blueberry tissue culture
The invention provides a callus induction medium for blueberry tissue culture, taking woody plant medium (WPM) as a basic medium, and including: 0.5-5.0 mg/L forchlorfenuron (CPPU) and 0.1-0.4 mg/L 2-isopentenyladenine (2-ip). The present invention also provides a callus culture method for blueberry, including inoculating the blueberry explant into the above callus induction medium to conduct induction culture in order to form blueberry callus. The present invention also discloses the medium combination and culture method to culture the above blueberry callus to blueberry tissue culture plant. For the above medium and culture method, the differentiation effect is good, efficiency is high, one can conduct continuous differentiation, and the effect is better on multiple varieties.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAIZE EMBRYO PLATING AND REPLATING
Methods and systems are provided for singulating, orienting, and delivering oriented objects (e.g., embryos) to a desired location (e.g., a plate containing a selected medium).
