EXTRACTS OF NANNOCHLOROPSIS SP. AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
New extracts of Nannochloropsis sp. and related species of Nannochloropsis are suggested, obtainable by treating said microalgae with a solvent selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1-C.sub.1 aliphatic alcohols, ethyl acetate, water or their mixtures, removing the dissolved extracts from the residues and recovering the pure extracts from the solvent. The extracts show excellent properties particularly in modulating the metabolism of human skin and hair follicles.
Isoprenyl compounds and methods thereof
Among other things, the present invention provides novel isoprenyl compounds capable of effectively modulating inflammatory responses and pharmaceutical, cosmetic, cosmeceutical and topical compositions comprising these isoprenyl compounds. Anti-inflammatory compounds of the present invention are useful in treating or preventing diseases or conditions associated with inflammation. Proinflammatory compounds of the present invention are useful in treating or preventing diseases or conditions associated with suppression of inflammatory responses. Thus, the present invention also provides methods useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases or conditions associated with inflammation as well as methods useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases or conditions associated with suppression of inflammatory responses.
Devices, systems and methods for promoting hair growth
According to some embodiments, a method of promoting hair growth or hair stimulation in a subject comprises applying vacuum or suction using a handpiece assembly along a targeted portion of the subject's skin surface where hair growth or hair stimulation is desired and providing at least one treatment material to said targeted portion of the subject's skin surface, wherein the application of vacuum or suction helps promote hair growth or stimulate hair.
DERMATOLOGICAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Dermatological compositions (methods of making and using) that include one or more anesthetic agents and/or one or more anti-inflammatory agents and/or a combination of ammonium, sodium, and potassium salts, preferably of an alpha-hydroxy acid.
Hydrogel composition for the treatment of dermatological disorders
The present patent application is related to a hydrogel composition which is essentially free of active drugs for the manufacture of a product for the treatment of dermatological disorders, especially perioral dermatitis, acne or seborrheic dermatitis.
Treatment of tumor protein 63 (p63) related diseases by inhibition of natural antisense transcript to p63
The present invention relates to antisense oligonucleotides that modulate the expression of and/or function of Tumor Protein 63 (p63), in particular, by targeting natural antisense polynucleotides of Tumor Protein 63 (p63). The invention also relates to the identification of these antisense oligonucleotides and their use in treating diseases and disorders associated with the expression of p63.
EXTRACTS OF MICROALGAE AND PLANTS FOR REGULATING SEBUM PRODUCTION
New extracts of microalgae, halophytes and psammophilous plants are suggested, obtainable by treating said microalgae and plants with a solvent selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1-C.sub.4 aliphatic alcohols, ethyl acetate, water or their mixtures, removing the dissolved extracts from the residues and recovering the pure extracts from the solvent. The extracts show excellent activity as regulators of the metabolism of human sebaceous glands.
LACTOBACILLUS PLANTARUM CNCM I-4026 PREPARATIONS AND SKIN HEALTH
The present invention relates generally to compositions with a health benefit. In particular, the invention relates to bacterial preparations of Lactobacillus plantarum CNCM I-4026 (NCC 2936). An aspect of the invention is a composition for use in the treatment or prevention of skin infections comprising a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus plantarum CNCM I-4026. A further aspect is a cosmetic composition comprising a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus plantarum CNCM I-4026.
HALOGENATED SALICYLANILIDES FOR THE TREATMENT OF DERMATITIS
The present invention relates to halogenated salicylanilides for use in the treatment of dermatitis in a human subject, for example atopic dermatitis in a human subject.
USE OF AGONISTS OF FORMYL PEPTIDE RECEPTOR 2 FOR TREATING DERMATOLOGICAL DISEASES
The present invention relates to a method for treating dermal inflammation and dermal diseases by local or systemic delivery, in a subject in need of such treatment, which comprises administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of at least one agonist of Formyl peptide receptor 2 (FPR2).
