Producing articles with multiple color inks
Functionality is disclosed herein for producing articles with multiple color inks. A method of decorating, printing, or otherwise producing articles with multiple color inks includes continuously refilling an ink reservoir with multiple color inks in a sequential manner, and continuously applying the multiple color inks from the ink reservoir onto articles of manufacture to create decorated articles of manufacture.
TRANSFER DEVICE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND TRANSFER METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A calibration plate is arranged on a support surface of a table. The calibration plate has first and second alignment marks arranged in one direction, and third and fourth alignment marks arranged in another direction that is orthogonal to the one direction. The first and second alignment marks that move in a front-and-rear direction are imaged by a first camera. The one direction of the calibration plate is made parallel to a front-and-rear direction based on the image. The positions of second and third cameras are adjusted based on the third and fourth alignment marks. The second and third cameras, positions of which have been adjusted, are moved to positions below the transfer roller, and a reference line formed at the transfer roller is imaged by the second and third cameras. An orientation of a rotation shaft of the transfer roller is adjusted in a plane parallel to the support surface based on these images.

Cleaning system architecture with recirculating bath for variable data lithographic printing
A variable lithographic cleaning apparatus, system and method works on the principle that dust and ink residue may be transferred from a lower surface energy reimageable conformable blanket surface to a higher surface energy surface low durometer cleaning member, such as the tacky roller, and then to an even higher surface energy cleaning member, such as the hard roller, which is hard and robust to scratching. The hard roller can then been scrubbed clean by an ink flushing device having a third cleaning member, such as a melamine sponge, wetted with a cleaning solution with the hard roller dried upon each rotation.

ORIGINAL PLATE FOR FORMING INK FILM, PATTERN FORMING METHOD, PATTERN FILM FORMING METHOD, AND PATTERN FILM FORMING APPARATUS
An original plate for forming an ink film includes a surface layer including a stimulus-responsive compound which responds to an external stimulus to have reversibly changed affinity with water; and a resin.
Methods of manufacturing image element arrays for security devices
A method of manufacturing an image element array includes: providing a production tool having a surface pattern of ink-receptive elements spaced by areas which are not, the ink-receptive elements defining the array image elements; applying a multi-colored first image formed of a inks to only the ink-receptive elements; and transferring only the portions of the multi-colored first image corresponding to the image elements from the production tool to a substrate. An image element array is formed on the substrate. The production tool surface pattern is configured such that when viewing and image element arrays overlap, each viewing element within an image element array first region directs light from a respective image element or from a respective gap. The viewing angle in the first region directs light from either the array or the gaps.
