Method for manufacturing a packaging material and a packaging material made by the method
The invention refers to a method to produce a packaging material comprising the steps of; treating at least one surface of a paperboard substrate with a binder and with a metal salt, printing at least a part of said treated surface with ink, and applying at least one polymer layer on said printed surface. The packaging material produced in accordance with the invention shows good printability and simultaneously good adhesion of the applied polymer layer.
Dye Printing Treatment Liquid Composition, Composition Set, Printing Method, And Ink Jet Printing Method
A dye printing treatment liquid composition to be adhered to a cloth, includes: a polyester resin having a glass transition temperature of 40° C. or more; a cross-linking agent; and water, and the cloth contains fibers which have hydroxy groups.
Ink jet recording method and ink jet recording apparatus
An ink jet recording method includes: a treatment liquid adhesion step of adhering a treatment liquid containing an aggregating agent to a recording medium; an ink adhesion step of adhering an aqueous ink composition containing a colorant to the recording medium by ejection thereof from an ink jet head; a first heating step of heating the recording medium to which the treatment liquid and the aqueous ink composition are adhered to a first surface temperature by a first heating mechanism; a second heating step of heating the recording medium after the first heating step to a second surface temperature which is higher than the first surface temperature by a second heating mechanism provided at downstream than the first heating mechanism in a recording medium transport direction; and a cooling step of, after the first heating step and before the second heating step, cooling the recording medium by a cooling mechanism, and by the cooling step, a surface temperature of the recording medium is decreased to a temperature lower than the first surface temperature.
Apparatus and method for spray treating fabric
A spray coating apparatus is provided, wherein a nozzle is arranged to traverse a fabric in one direction whilst simultaneously spraying and oscillating in another direction. The fabric is spray coated with a first pass having a spray zone having uneven distribution in the direction of oscillation, and particularly with a greater density of fluid coverage toward the centre of the spray zone than an edge. The nozzle forming a second and subsequent pass that is off-set from the first and each subsequent pass respectively. The second and each subsequent pass being arranged to overlap with a portion of the previous pass, thereby providing an improved distribution of the spray coating. Moreover, because the spray coating is incremental, the method is easily adaptable to integrate with an ink jet printing process.
Recording method and recording apparatus
A recording method for using a line-type recording apparatus to scan a recording medium with a plurality of line heads once for recording, the line heads having a width greater than or equal to the recording width of the recording medium, the method including a treatment liquid deposition step of depositing a treatment liquid containing a coagulant on the recording medium, and an ink deposition step of ejecting a coloring ink composition from the line heads to deposit the coloring ink composition on the recording medium, wherein in the ink deposition step an identical coloring ink composition is ejected from a first line head placed on the upstream side in the transport direction perpendicular to the width direction of the recording medium and from a second line head placed on the downstream side in the transport direction.
PRINTING SYSTEM, PROCESS MANAGEMENT DEVICE, AND PRINTING METHOD
A printing system 10 configured to generate a product of printing includes: a coater 14 that is a pretreatment machine configured to execute a pretreatment process of performing a predetermined pretreatment on a medium that is a target of the printing; a printer 16 that is a printing device configured to execute a print process of performing the printing by ejecting ink onto the medium after the pretreatment performed by the coater 14; and a controller 12 that is a process management device configured to propose a condition for the pretreatment process based on a condition for the product to be generated.
PRINTING METHOD
A printing method in which a primer composition, which includes at least one pigment aggregating agent, is applied to a coated substrate prior to an ink-jet printing step. The ink-jet printing step is performed using inkjet droplets having x μm drop diameter, printed in a print resolution on the coated substrate that corresponds to a rectangular unit cell having cell dimensions of y μm by z μm, where a ratio of x/y is >0.60.
IMAGE RECORDING METHOD
Provided is an image recording method including an applying step of applying a pretreatment liquid containing water and an aggregating agent onto an impermeable base material and applying an ink containing water and a colorant onto a region of the impermeable base material where the pretreatment liquid has been applied, and a drying step of drying the ink applied onto the region to obtain an image, in which the drying step includes blowing of hot air at a wind speed of greater than 15 m/s to the ink applied onto the region, and in a case where the number of grams of the ink applied per 1 m.sup.2 in an image area with a density of 100% is defined as X, and the number of grams of the pretreatment liquid applied per 1 m.sup.2 in the image area with a density of 100% is defined as Y, a viscosity of a kneaded material obtained by adding (6.5Y/X) mg of the pretreatment liquid to 10 g of the ink and defoaming and kneading the mixture at 200 rpm for 5 minutes is in a range of 30 mPa.Math.s to 500 mPa.Math.s.
Low-friction images by inkjet printing
Provided are compositions and processes formulated and practiced to reduce the friction-coefficient of the printed area and also of the non-printed areas around the image, wherein the compositions are formulated for use by wet-on-wet techniques in-line of the pre-curing printing process, without pretreating the fabric for softness and smoothness prior to the printing process. The compositions comprise at least 15% by weight of a friction-coefficient reduction agent and having a pH lower than 6.5 so as to effect upon contact immobilization of an ink composition that is being digitally applied on the substrate.
