09744716 · 2017-08-29 · ·

The present invention relates to an improved printed image for the décor of a panel. Furthermore the invention relates to a method for imprinting plates, in particular wall, ceiling or floor panels. The method thereby comprises the following steps: (i) Providing a plate; (ii) applying a primer by means of a liquid curtain of coating material on/to a main surface of the plate; (iii) optionally drying and/or curing the primer; (iv) treating the surface of the primer by means of at least one of the following measures: a) corona treatment; b) plasma treatment; c) applying an oil in an aqueous dilution and (v) applying a decorative décor.

Ink-jet ink printing system and method

An ink-jet ink printing method and associated system can have a printer including an ink-jet ink. The ink includes an aqueous liquid vehicle, 1 wt % to 5 wt % pigment, 1 wt % to 5 wt % acrylic polymer particles, 0.3 wt % to 3 wt % urethane polymer particles, and is formulated to print on a vinyl medium. The system also includes a heating device. Upon applying heat to the ink-jet ink printed on the vinyl medium, the polymer particles in the printed ink fuse, and form a film encapsulating at least a portion of the pigment on the vinyl print medium.

Image display and kit

An image display comprising a substantially rigid support structure including a rectangular central sheet, four side strips and four back strips can be provided. An image can be provided on at least the front of the central sheet. The side strips can extend alongside respective edges of the central sheet and be adjoined to form four corners. The back strips can extend along respective side strips and be adjoined at respective corners for forming the assembled support structure. A mechanical securement device can be connected to adjoined back strips at each corner for rigidly securing the adjoined back strips together and for retaining the side and back strips in an assembled position.

Methods and compositions for direct print having improved recyclability

The disclosure relates to ink compositions for digital printing on an external surface of a plastic article. The ink compositions comprise an ink removal-promoting additive. In some aspects, the ink removal-promoting additive can facilitate the separation or loosening of the image from the external surface of the article when the image is exposed to a liquid-based solution at an elevated temperature. Also disclosed are recyclable plastic articles having an external surface with an image printed thereon using the disclosed ink composition and methods for removing cured ink from a plastic container. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

PRINTED SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR PRINTING ONTO A SUBSTRATE

A printed substrate, wherein a printed polymer layer is present on a surface of the substrate, is disclosed. The printed polymer layer comprises a polymer chosen from one or more of polyvinyl chloride, a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, and a terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and ethylene; a plasticizer; a colorant; and calcium carbonate.

Ink jet printing method

The ink jet printing method includes applying an aqueous coloring ink composition onto a printing surface of a printing medium by being ejected from an ink jet head. The printing surface of the printing medium contains natural fibers and synthetic fibers.

Molecular Ink and Method for Printing Resistive Film Coatings
20220306888 · 2022-09-29 ·

Described herein are molecular inks, methods for printing the molecular inks on flexible substrates, and methods for forming printed electronic elements, such as resistive heaters, force sensors, motion sensors, and devices that include these elements, such as force responsive conductive heaters. The methods include printing a molecular ink on a flexible substrate that is heated to 30° C. to 90° C. before and/or during the printing process and curing the substrate to produce a conductive pattern thereon. The molecular inks generally include a particle-fee metal-complex composition formulated from at least one metal complex and a solvent, and optionally, a conductive filler material, and/or surfactant.

METHOD FOR APPLYING LAYERS ON A MATERIAL
20170225500 · 2017-08-10 · ·

A process for printing multiple layers on a fabric or other material using UV-curable ink that includes a step of printing a first layer on the material and another step of partially curing the first layer. A next step includes printing a partially UV-transparent layer over the first layer and fully curing the UV-transparent layer while simultaneously fully curing the first layer.

ADDITIVE COLOR PRINTING USING MULTIPLE COLOR GRAPHIC LAYERS

Methods and systems are provided for color printing. For example, a method of printing is provided, including printing a three-dimensional object onto a substrate using a printing device. The method includes receiving color graphic design information at the printing device and receiving the substrate at the printing device. The color graphic design information represents a color graphic. The method further includes printing a lower color graphic layer of the three-dimensional object onto the substrate using the color graphic design information and printing a transparent structural layer of the three-dimensional object onto the lower color graphic layer. The method further includes printing an upper color graphic layer of the three-dimensional object onto the transparent structural layer using the color graphic design information. A combination of the upper color graphic layer and the lower color graphic layer visually matches the color graphic.

Systems and Methods Of Applying Compositions To Webs

A method of printing composition(s) on a web is disclosed. The method includes the steps of advancing the web and printing a plurality of composition sites on the web. The method further includes the step of forming one or more discontinuities in the web. The discontinuities correspond to the printed composition sites.
