Ink
Disclosed is an inkjet ink that is jettable through standard inkjet nozzles, yet creates a non-abrasive non-porous three-dimensional glass structure on a 1-100 micron-scale without the need for additional processes beyond those normally used for the inkjet decoration of glass substrates. Such an inkjet ink can avoid the drawbacks noted above and is described herein.
Digital dispense system
A digital dispense system and methods for preparing samples for analysis. The digital dispense system includes a fluid droplet ejection system housed in a housing unit. The fluid droplet ejection system contains a fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge containing one or more fluids to be dispensed. A cartridge translation mechanism is provided for moving the fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge back and forth over a sample holder in an x direction. A sample tray translation mechanism moves a sample tray back and forth beneath the fluid droplet ejection head and fluid cartridge in a y direction orthogonal to the x direction.
Inkjet process for three-dimensional relief on tiles
A technique is described for the application of three-dimensional (3D) relief to a substrate such as a ceramic tile using digital inkjet technology. In an example embodiment, the introduced technique includes application of binder ink to a portion of the surface of a substrate using a digital inkjet process. This binder ink forms a barrier layer which protects the portion of the surface of the substrate. Next, a brushing process is applied to remove unprotected portions of the substrate, thereby forming the 3D relief in the substrate.
Headstone assembly
A headstone assembly suitable to be placed on a memorial includes a frame and a mounting assembly. The frame defines a cavity and has a base panel having a plurality of slots. The frame an inner surface defining a groove extending along and inner perimeter of the frame. The mounting assembly is arranged inside the cavity and is connected to the frame to facilitate an attachment of the base panel with the surface. The mounting assembly includes a bottom panel and a mounting panel extending inside the groove and attached to the frame and the bottom panel. The mounting assembly also includes a plurality of T-nuts extending through the mounting panel inside a plurality of the holes of the bottom panel. The T-nuts ate adapted to receive a plurality of mounting bolts extending from the surface to facilitate the attachment of the frame to the surface.
Glass Container Having an Inkjet Printed Image and a Method for the Manufacturing Thereof
The present invention is directed to a method of inkjet printing an image on a glass container comprising the steps of: a) manufacturing a glass container having a CEC layer; b) removing at least part of the CEC layer to a level wherein the remaining CEC layer has a thickness of less than 20 nm by washing the CEC from the glass container with an aqueous solution containing nonionic surfactant, rinsing with water and blowing the water from the container by means of a pressurized air stream, c) inkjet printing an image on the glass container.
Method for manufacturing an engineered stone and an engineered stone
A method for manufacturing an engineered stone, the method including: providing a mixture comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder; compacting the mixture; curing the binder; and printing on at least a top surface of the engineered stone.
Composition for forming a patterned metal film on a substrate
A composition for forming a patterned thin metal film on a substrate is presented. The composition includes metal cations; and at least one solvent, wherein the patterned thin metal film is adhered to a surface of the substrate upon exposure of the at least metal cations to a low-energy plasma.
Glass container having an inkjet printed image and a method for the manufacturing thereof
The present invention is directed to a method of inkjet printing an image on a glass container comprising the steps of: a) manufacturing a glass container having a CEC layer; b) removing at least part of the CEC layer to a level wherein the remaining CEC layer has a thickness of less than 20 nm by washing the CEC from the glass container with an aqueous solution containing non-ionic surfactant, rinsing with water and blowing the water from the container by means of a pressurized air stream, c) inkjet printing an image on the glass container.
Aliphatic ceramics dispersant
The invention provides dispersed inorganic mixed metal oxide pigment compositions in a hydrocarbon media utilizing a dispersant having polyisobutylene succinic anhydride structure reacted with a non-polymeric amino ether/alcohol to disperse a mixed metal oxide pigment in the media. The metal oxide pigment is of the type used to color ceramic or glass articles. A milling process using beads is also described to reduce the mixed metal oxide particle size to the desired range. A method of using the mixed metal oxide dispersion to digitally print an image on a ceramic or glass article using the dispersion jetted through a nozzle and subsequently firing the colored article is also described.
METHOD AND MACHINE FOR THE SURFACE TREATMENT OF A BASE CERAMIC ARTICLE
A machine and method for the surface treatment of a base ceramic article having at least one surface to be treated; wherein a first printing assembly applies a first layer of adhesive material on at least part of the surface to be treated; a first depositing assembly deposits a second layer of powder material on at least part of the first layer so as to remain stuck to the first layer; and a second printing assembly applies a third layer, which comprises (in particular, consisting of) an adhesive and/or covering material, on at least part of the second layer.
