Information medium, recording apparatus, and reading apparatus
An information medium according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes two or more data layers provided on a support base. The two or more data layers have two or more pieces of visible information recorded on the two or more data layers. The two or more pieces of visible information are obtained by decomposing two-dimensional visible information and thereby allowing synthesis of the two or more pieces of visible information to result in the two-dimensional visible information.

THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS AND DIRECT THERMAL PRINT MEDIA INCLUDING ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE INDICATOR MATERIAL
A label includes a flexible substrate comprising a first side and a second side. The first side is an adhesive, the second side is configured to be printed with a first visible mark, and the second side has a second printed, overlapping mark. The overlapping mark is configured to change opacity below a first transition temperature to obscure the visible mark.
Method for manufacturing a data medium and data medium thus obtained
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a multilayer data medium (1), in which method: a multilayer data medium, including at least one transparent security layer (16), and at least one marking layer (17), sensitive to electromagnetic-marking radiation (5), are selected; the transparent security layer (16) includes at least one semi-transparent printed image including at least one thermochromic dye; at least one marking (30) is made using the electromagnetic-marking radiation, through the printed image; the semi-transparent printed image reveals, in a first state referred to as the inactivated state, at least one semi-transparent visible pattern that makes it possible, after the marking step, to view the marking (30) through the image, the pattern not being visible in a second state, referred to as the activated state. The invention also relates to a multilayer data medium (1).

MARKING TABS WITH A TWO DIMENSIONAL CODE
A method for forming a Data Matrix Code or like two dimensional code on a beverage can tab uses a laser having a focal ratio of between 40 and 70 to produce spots having an average diameter of between 200 and 400 microns. The code is smaller than 6 mm by 6 mm, at least 12 modules by 12 modules, and smaller than 21 modules by 21 modules, thereby providing sufficient quantity of unique codes for use with commercial beverage can quantities. Preferably each module is formed by one laser spot. Alternatively, nine spots may be used to form a module.

Multilayer lamination film for laser printing and package body and printing body formed thereby, and ink composition for laser printing used therefor
Provided is a multilayer lamination film for laser printing that does not require a special ink that discolors by laser light irradiation, and that makes it possible to obtain a printed line having high visibility by irradiation of laser light having a power sufficiently low to avoid damaging a base film. The multilayer lamination film for laser printing includes at least a base material layer, a printing layer, and a sealant layer. The printing layer is a layer made of an ink composition enabling printing by means of laser light. The ink composition is made of white ink containing at least a titanium oxide and a binder resin, the binder resin containing a crystalline component.
