RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RECORDED MATTER HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE
A recording medium for producing a recorded matter having a three-dimensional image comprises: a substrate; and a foaming layer being provided on the substrate and containing a foaming material which foams with heat and a binder resin. A contact angle of water to a surface of the foaming layer 30 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer is 30° or more and 80° or less, and a ratio of a diameter of a water droplet 30 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer to a diameter of the water droplet 0.01 seconds after the water is brought into contact with the surface of the foaming layer is 1.3 times or less.
Methods of making paper and labels
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
Digitally receptive coating method
A digitally receptive coating method includes the steps of applying a digitally receptive coating to a first side of a film, metalizing the first side of the film and bonding the metallized first side of the film to a substrate to produce a laminate having a digitally receptive coating.
Printed polymeric articles, systems and methods
Composite articles, and associated methods and systems, are generally provided.
RELEASE INKJET PRINTING INK ARTICLES
An article and a method of making thereof. The article includes a polymeric film having a first major surface and a second major surface; a first plurality of domains of a first inkjet printing ink comprising a first low adhesion backsize coating composition deposited on the first major surface of the polymeric film; and a second plurality of domains of a second inkjet printing ink comprising a second low adhesion backsize coating composition deposited on the first major surface of the polymeric film; wherein the first and second low adhesion backsize coating composition has a viscosity between 1 to 30 cp at a printing temperature between 20 to 70 degrees Celsius; and wherein at least some of the first plurality of domains overlaps some of the second plurality of domains.
INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEDIUM, RECORDING MEDIUM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE SHEET, DECORATIVE SHEET, METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATED ARTICLE, AND DECORATED ARTICLE
Provided are an intermediate transfer medium and the like with which a glossy image can be easily formed and which can be used also for a transparent transfer receiving article.
In an intermediate transfer medium comprising at least a substrate and a transfer part provided releasably on one face of the substrate, the transfer part has a layered structure comprising at least an image forming layer that is located on the outermost surface on the opposite side to the substrate and on which an image is to be formed, and a gloss layer that is located closer to the substrate side than the image forming layer, and the transfer part has a maximum transmittance in the wavelength region of 380 nm to 780 nm of 40% or less.
Primer for inkjet and method for manufacturing a printed material
A primer for inkjet printing includes one or more aqueous resin(s) and hydrophobic particles having a particle size of 0.05 μm to 15 μm and a melting point of 80° C. to 100° C. The primer improves abrasive resistance properties of an inkjet ink printed on a printed material.
DECOR PAPER OR FOIL
A decor paper or foil for application to panel shaped substrates may include a base layer, an inkjet receiving surface, and a digitally printed pattern. The pattern may be obtained via printing with a single-pass printer. The pattern may include a matrix of a plurality, preferably at least 200, printed ink dots per inch. The matrix, as seen in the width direction of the paper or foil, may be generally uniformly made up with uniformly sized printed ink dots, with the exception of a minority of the area of the printed pattern, in which the matrix may be modified.
MEDIUM INCLUDING RELEASE MATERIAL AND PRINTING LABEL AND METHOD OF WRAPPING PEELED-OFF LABEL
A medium is configured to be mounted in and printed with a printer. The medium includes: a release material; and a printing label. The release material is provided with a cut-out area. The cut-out area is surrounded by a hole or a cut or a series of holes or a series of cuts and has at least a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side oppose each other. The printing label is affixed to the release material so as to extend across the first side and the second side of the cut-out area. The first side and the second side are configured to include different types of the holes or the cuts or the series of holes or the series of cuts from each other.
Textured printable nonwoven media
A multilayer article including a film layer having a textured first surface and an opposite second surface, wherein the film layer is printable, and a nonwoven material layer bonded to the second surface of the film layer. The film layer may include a semi-crystalline polylactic acid and may be receptive to inkjet printing.
