Process of manufacture of annexin V
The present invention provides a process for the recovery and/or purification of a recombinantly expressed intracellular protein comprising the sequence of Annexin A5 (AnxA5) from an endotoxin-producing host cell with a cell wall, wherein the process comprises releasing the intracellular protein from the host cell, characterised in that the step of releasing the intracellular AnxA5 protein is conducted in the presence of a homogenisation buffer comprising non-ionic detergent, and preferably wherein the process does not include any centrifugation steps for the recovery and/or purification of the AnxA5 protein after its release from the host cell and/or in which the AnxA5 protein remains in solution throughout the process except when temporarily bound to any chromatographic resins.
Genetic construct
The invention provides genetic constructs and recombinant vectors comprising such constructs. The constructs and vectors can be used in gene therapy methods for treating a range of disorders, including glaucoma and deafness, or for promoting nerve regeneration and/or survival.
Imidazopyrazinones as PDE1 inhibitors
The present invention provides imidazopyrazinones as PDE1 inhibitors and their use as a medicament, in particular for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders and psychiatric disorders.
Dihydronaphthalene derivative
A compound represented by general formula (I) wherein all the symbols are as defined in the specification has a selective S1P5 receptor agonist activity due to having a linker from a phenyl group to a cyclic substituent in a dihydronaphthalene skeleton; i.e., due to having a short linker of one atom or less as L in general formula (I), and can therefore serve as an agent for treating S1P5-mediated disease, e. g., neurodegenerative disease such as schizophrenia. ##STR00001##
Process for producing a stable low concentration, injectable solution of noradrenaline
In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a process for producing a stable, injectable solution with low content of noradrenaline, which includes dissolving noradrenaline and optionally an excipient in deoxygenated or degassed water, filtrating the resulting noradrenaline solution in a nitrogen current, distributing the solution in a nitrogen current, and sterilization, preferably hot. The invention further provides a stable, injectable solution with low content of noradrenaline, substantially free of anti-oxidizing and preservative agents, as well as uses thereof in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.
Biologically active cannabidiol analogs
Biologically active cannabidiol analogs comprising a compound of the formula ##STR00001##
wherein one of R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 or both is/are the residue of a moiety formed by the reaction of an amino group of the amino acid ester of R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 or both with a dicarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylic acid derivative and the other R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 (in the case of the mono) is the residue of a dicarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic acid derivative or Hydrogen (H), (i.e. underivatized), and salts thereof. These CBD analogs are be useful in pain management in oncology and other clinical settings in which neuropathy is presented. Furthermore, these CBD-analogs are useful in blocking the addictive properties of opiates.
Methods and compositions for attenuating anti-viral transfer vector immune responses
Provided herein are methods and related compositions for administering viral transfer vectors and antigen-presenting cell targeted immunosuppressants.
Substituted 3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes as ketohexokinase inhibitors
Provided herein are substituted 3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes as ketohexokinase inhibitors, processes to make said compounds, and methods comprising administering said compounds to a mammal in need thereof.
Use of anti-family with sequence similarity 19, member A5 antibodies for the treatment of neuropathic pain
The present disclosure provides a method for the treatment of a neuropathic pain including a central neuropathic pain or a peripheral neuropathic pain in a subject comprising the administration of antibodies that specifically bind to human FAM19A5 and compositions comprising such antibodies. The present disclosure also provides methods for treating a neuropathic pain including a symptom of neuropathic pain, and/or an underlining cause of a neuropathic pain, by administering an antibody that specifically binds to human FAM19A5. In a specific aspect, the method comprises administering antibodies specifically bind to human FAM19A5, e.g., binds to soluble human FAM19A5 with a K.sub.D of 10 nM or less, or binds to membrane bound human FAM19A5 with a K.sub.D of 10 nM or less, or both, as measured by a method known in the art, e.g., ELISA.
