AGENT FOR PREVENTING AND/OR TREATING AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS
The present invention provides a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which contains one or more kinase inhibitors selected from the group consisting of an epithelial cell growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor, a fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) inhibitor, an Aurorakinase inhibitor, a protein kinase A (PKA) inhibitor, a protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor, an MEK inhibitor, an Met inhibitor, a JNK inhibitor, a Syk inhibitor and a JAK inhibitor, a prostaglandin analogue and an estrogen receptor antagonist, or one or more kinase inhibitors selected from the group consisting of Tivozanib and an analog thereof, SB 216763, Cdk2 Inhibitor II, BUDESONIDE, RIBOFLAVIN, alpha-TOCHOPHEROL, AMODIAQUINE, SU9516, Sunitinib and an analog thereof, GSK-3 Inhibitor XIII, Bisindolylmaleimide I, HYDROQUINONE, FLUNISOLIDE, MGCD-265, Indirubin-3′-monoxime, HYDRASTINE (1R,9S), PIPERINE, BUTAMBEN, Axitinib and an analog thereof, APOMORPHINE, FENBUFEN, Bosutinib (SKI-606) and an analog thereof, a Wee1 Inhibitor, Cdk2 Inhibitor IV, NU6140, 3-hydroxybutyric acid, AT9283, Imatinib, Nilotinib, Rebastinib, and Bafetinib for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of ALS. Particularly, using a compound already on the market as a pharmaceutical product, a pharmaceutical product for the prophylaxis or treatment of ALS can be developed rapidly at a low cost.
COMPOSITION AND METHODS TO IMPROVE STABILITY, DOSING, PHARMACODYNAMICS AND PRODUCT SHELF LIFE OF ENDOCANNABINOIDS, PHYTOCANNABINOIDS AND SYNTHETIC CANNABINOIDS DELIVERED BY NASAL INHAER
An inhaler-delivery-device-packaged homogenate of solid heterogeneous-lipid particulates carrying lipophilic cannabinoid receptor agonists and/or antagonists, wherein the solid heterogeneous-lipid particles comprises: one (or more) lipid(s) whose melting point(s) is (are) substantially above room temperature; in combination with, one (or more) lipid(s) whose melting point(s) is (are) substantially less than room temperature.
TREATMENT OF ERYTHROPOIETIN (EPO) RELATED DISEASES BY INHIBITION OF NATURAL ANTISENSE TRANSCRIPT TO EPO
Oligonucleotide compounds modulate expression and/or function of Erythropoietin (EPO) polynucleotides and encoded products thereof. Methods for treating diseases associated with Erythropoietin (EPO) comprise administering one or more oligonucleotide compounds designed to inhibit the EPO natural antisense transcript to patients.
MULTIMERIC COMPOUNDS OF A KRINGLE DOMAIN FROM THE HEPATOCYTE GROWTH FACTOR / SCATTER FACTOR (HGF/SF)
Disclosed are multimeric compounds of K1 domains from the Hepatocyte Growth Factor/Scatter Factor (HGF/SF) being able to induce activation of the tyrosine kinase receptor MET and their uses.
ANTI-C5 ANTIBODIES HAVING IMPROVED PHARMACOKINETICS
The disclosure provides antibodies that are useful for, among other things, inhibiting terminal complement (e.g., the assembly and/or activity of the C5b-9 TCC) and C5a anaphylatoxin-mediated inflammation and, thus, treating complement-associated disorders. The antibodies have a number of improved properties relative to eculizumab, including, e.g., increased serum half-life in a human.
VACCINATION
The present invention relates to compositions for use in and methods for protecting against Herpes Zoster (HZ).
Peptide conjugates
Methods and compositions related to the selective, specific disruption of multiple ligand-receptor signaling interactions, such as ligand-receptor interactions implicated in disease, are disclosed. These interactions may involve multiple cytokines in a single receptor family or multiple ligand receptor interactions from at least two distinct ligand-receptor families. The compositions may comprise polypeptides having composite sequences that comprise sequence fragments of two or more ligand binding sites. The methods and compositions may involve sequence fragments of two or more ligand binding sites that are arranged to conserve the secondary structure of each of the ligands from which the sequence fragments were taken.

SPINAL SUBPIAL GENE DELIVERY SYSTEM
Delivery devices, systems, and methods related thereto may be used in humans for spinal delivery of cells, drugs or vectors. Thus, the system enables subpial delivery, which leads to a near complete spinal parenchymal AAV9-mediated gene expression or ASO distribution in both white and grey matter.
