An inkjet printer includes: an inkjet head configured to eject ink to a print medium being conveyed; a mist collector including at least a suction port configured to suck air from a side of the inkjet head on which the print medium passes; and a controller configured to control the mist collector. A space on the side of the inkjet head on which the print medium passes is an open space in which nothing but the print medium passing is arranged within a prescribed distance from the inkjet head. The controller is configured to control the mist collector to perform a mist collection operation of sucking air containing ink mist via the suction port in a state where the print medium and the inkjet head are facing each other.

A cleaning device for a surface of a cylinder of a printer and/or a copier includes a cylindrical cleaning element which can be rotated by at least one drive and which includes a cleaning fitting on its outer periphery, and a suction or suctioner conducting at least one suction medium with at least one suction channel aligned towards the outer periphery of the cleaning element and extending along the longitudinal alignment of the cleaning element. In order to achieve a simple technical structure and a low maintenance effort apart from a good cleaning result and reliable dirt removal, a suction slit extending longitudinally of the suction channel is aligned towards the cleaning element opens into the suction channel tangentially to the suction channel cross section.

RECORDING DEVICE

A recording device includes: a drive source; a driven portion having a driven gear; a drive transmission mechanism having a drive gear driven by the drive source and capable of swing between a first position where the drive gear is engaged with the driven gear and a second position where the drive gear is not engaged with the driven gear; and a regulating mechanism capable of swing between a regulating position where swing of the drive transmission mechanism is regulated and a non-regulating position where the swing of the drive transmission mechanism is not regulated. In the recording device, the regulating mechanism is capable of swing around a rotation axis of the driven gear.

INK JET RECORDING DEVICE

An ink jet recording device includes a record head, a waste ink container, and a suction mechanism that sucks gas from the waste ink container. The waste ink container includes a suction port connected to the suction mechanism, a first receiving port that receives ink, a porous absorbing member, and a first air duct formed as a space without the absorbing member, so as to connect the first receiving port and the suction port. The waste ink container further includes a blocking member having a lower gas permeability than the absorbing member, and the blocking member is disposed on a path from the first receiving port to the suction port via inside the absorbing member without passing through the first air duct.

Liquid droplet ejecting apparatus, remote monitoring system, and method of determining replacement necessity of liquid droplet ejecting head

A liquid droplet ejecting apparatus includes a liquid droplet ejecting head that includes a plurality of nozzles from which a liquid supplied from a liquid supply source through a liquid supply path is ejected as a liquid droplet, and ejects the liquid droplet from the nozzle to a recording medium to perform a recording process, a first detecting section that detects a vibration waveform of the pressure chamber, which is vibrated when an actuator is driven to cause the pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle to vibrate, to detect a state inside the pressure chamber, and a second detecting section that reads a pattern formed on the recording medium by ejecting the liquid droplet from the nozzle to detect an ejection state of the liquid droplet.
