A bound collection of leaves having a spine and a method of its manufacture are disclosed. Each leaf of a first plurality of leaves of the bound collection includes a first pattern of tabs by which that leaf is bound. The tabs of the first pattern are distributed along a binding axis of that leaf that is parallel to a spine axis of the spine. Each leaf of a second plurality of leaves of the bound collection includes a second pattern of tabs different than the first pattern by which that leaf is bound. The tabs of the second pattern are distributed along a binding axis of that leaf that is parallel to the spine axis. Each tab of the first pattern and second pattern of tabs extends in a direction orthogonal to the binding axis from within an unbound region to a binding-side edge of that leaf.

To allow ring bodies of a ring made of resin or paper to be accurately inserted and to penetrate binding holes of sheets when manufacturing a ring notebook, a ring threading device includes a placement table on which sheets are placed, a positioning jig having a guide roller and nip rollers, and a ring moving mechanism. The positioning jig is a jig for holding a plurality of the ring bodies while maintaining intervals between the ring bodies. The ring moving mechanism is a mechanism for allowing the ring bodies held by the positioning jig to penetrate the binding holes.

Particularly, proposed is a manufacturing method for a paper-made binding comb. The manufacturing method includes: providing a combined roll paper in which an inner roll paper and an outer roll paper are combined at a low-temperature by a low-temperature-sensitive molding material therebetween, the inner roll paper and the outer roll paper, each having a first side surface coated with a high-temperature-sensitive bonding material; slitting the combined roll paper at a predetermined width, and cutting the slitted roll paper such that the slitted roll paper has a comb part and a comb-connecting part, thereby forming a flat comb-shaped paper-binding piece; raising a temperature to the low-temperature such that only the low-temperature-sensitive molding material is melted; and transferring the flat comb-shaped paper-binding piece to a molding apparatus and molding the flat comb-shaped paper-binding piece into a cylindrical shape.
