3D Pop-Up Cards With A Base Structure
The invention refers to a 3D card comprising a foldable base card (1) having an inner side and an outer side, said base card (1) comprising two sections (2, 3) reversibly transferable along a fold (17) from a folded closed state to an unfolded opened state, and a foldable base structure (6, 6) reversibly transferable from a flat compressed state to a three-dimensional expanded state, and with a foldable FIG. 10) reversibly transferable from a flat compressed state to a three-dimensional expanded state, and wherein the foldable base structure (6, 6) is formed of a plurality of base elements (I, II, III, IV) and is fixed to the inner side of the foldable base card (1) via first fixing means (7, 7, 8, 8), and wherein the foldable FIG. 10) is fixed to the foldable base structure (6, 6), characterized in that the first fixing means (7, 7, 8, 8) are provided on two adjacent base elements (I, II, III, IV), and in each case one base element (I, II, III, IV) is fixed to the first section (2) via the first fixing means (7, 8) and one base element (I, II, III, IV) is fixed to the second section (3) via the first fixing means (7, 8).
Greeting card having audio recording capabilities with trial mode feature
A greeting card having an audio message recording and playback device permits recording of personalized audio messages to be played upon opening of the greeting card. The recording device is operable in either a trial mode or a use mode. In the trial mode, which would be applicable when the card is displayed in a store, a potential purchaser may experience the functionality of the card by recording their own test message. The test message is played back initially for the potential purchaser but is not subsequently played back to be later heard by other potential purchasers. In the use mode, which the card may be switched to after purchase by removal of a trial mode panel from the greeting card, a user recorded message is played repeatedly upon subsequent openings of the card. The user recorded message may be followed by a prerecorded recording, such as a song. Additional prerecorded messages, such as voice prompts with instructions for recording a message, may also be included.
Interactive greeting card
An integral greeting card/game is disclosed wherein a multi-panel greeting card also serves as a game board and is combined with a game piece and launch mechanism to create a novel, interactive greeting card. The multi-panel greeting card contains a sound module therein and a magnetic trigger is contained and concealed below one or more of the multiple greeting card panels. The game piece contains a magnet therein so that when the game piece comes into contact with the area of the greeting card above or proximate to the magnetic trigger, playback of an audio file is initiated. In one embodiment, the game piece is operative to interact with a touch screen of a mobile device.
Greeting Card with Removable Mobile Object
A greeting card having a mobile object releasably attached thereto. The mobile object may be shaped like a character or object with one or more wheels at a bottom surface thereof. The mobile object may be removed from the greeting card and set upright onto a surface. Activating a motor module within the mobile object causes the one or more wheels to rotate, setting the mobile object rolling along said surface.
System and method for entertainment devices employing animatronics
The invention relates to animatronics on entertainment devices such as greeting cards. A shape memory-alloy wire may be coupled to a PCB housed within a greeting card body. The wire may be anchored to a linkage assembly that is swivably, rotably, pivotably, extendably or otherwise movably coupled to the greeting card body. The PCB may be configured to generate a signal to a driving circuit for supplying an electrical current through the wire, the current having a variable amperage that is modified based on the pulse file. The variable amperage causes a change in the temperature of the wire, which causes the wire, and thus the linkage assembly, to contract and expand. The linkage assembly may be coupled to a display body, which may include an animal shape, characters, popular culture images and the like. Movement of the linkage assembly causes the display body to move in an entertaining manner.
Unfurling Banner Greeting Card And The Like
Embodiments comprise a greeting card with a self-retracting, pullout banner and an activation feature tied a movement of the self-retracting banner. The activation feature may include a visual or audio output and can be provided by an electronic component. The self-retracting banner may be affixed to an edge of the greeting card. A user may extend the banner by pulling the handle away from the greeting card. As such, the self-retracting banner is movable to and between a fully retracted and closed first position and a fully extended and open second position. The activation feature may be a sound activation feature that generates an audio output through a speaker when the self-retracting banner is moved out of the closed first position. Both the activation feature and the self-retracting banner can include content that may supplement a message or artwork included on panels of the greeting card.
Audio gift bag with handles
A bag having a flap-activated audio or sound player and handles to cinch the flap securely in a closed position to avoid inadvertent activation of the sound player.

Greeting card with gift card holder pouch
A greeting card body having an integral pouch into which a gift card or other item may be inserted and removed. The greeting card may additionally contain sound capabilities or other special effects.
Flash imaging devices, methods for making and using the same
The invention provides flash imaging devices that include an optical change component that undergoes a change in response to an applied stimulus, a substrate and a stimulus element. Also provided are articles that include the subject devices, as well as methods of making and using the same.
