A greeting card with 90-degree pop-up structure which contains multiple panels which pop-up when the greeting card is opened. The panels of the pop-up structure are connected by way of one or more struts which are inserted through some panels of the pop-up structure and attached to others but are not connected to the greeting card. The struts may or may not be attached to the greeting card.
SECURE DIAMOND SMART CARDS AND EXCHANGE SYSTEMS THEREFOR
A tamper-proof diamond package comprises a package body; at least one chip embedded in the package body and at least one antenna configured to enable communication with the chip; anti-counterfeiting visual impressions on the package body; a diamond pouch formed at a predetermined section within the package body; and one or more diamonds located inside the diamond pouch and an outer covering encasing the package body and configured to reveal any tampering with the one or more diamonds located in the diamond pouch. The diamond package can be credit card shaped and also contain serial number and website information and provide nominal dollar values. An associated diamond exchange system utilizes the diamond packages and provides a registration server which stores unique identifying information that enables interrogating the individual diamond packages and checking their authenticity with the registration server.

System and method for entertainment devices employing animatronics
The invention relates to animatronics on entertainment devices such as greeting cards. A shape memory-alloy wire may be coupled to a PCB housed within a greeting card body. The wire may be anchored to a linkage assembly that is swivably, rotably, pivotably, extendably or otherwise movably coupled to the greeting card body. The PCB may be configured to generate a signal to a driving circuit for supplying an electrical current through the wire, the current having a variable amperage that is modified based on the pulse file. The variable amperage causes a change in the temperature of the wire, which causes the wire, and thus the linkage assembly, to contract and expand. The linkage assembly may be coupled to a display body, which may include an animal shape, characters, popular culture images and the like. Movement of the linkage assembly causes the display body to move in an entertaining manner.
