IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT DATA PAGE AND RELATED PRODUCTION METHOD
The invention relates to a multilayer structure (2) intended to be inserted in an identification document and comprising: at least one first layer (4) at least partially opaque forming a data area (6), the first layer (4) comprising at least one through opening (8) integrally confined by at least partially opaque material of the first layer (4), and a second layer (10) at least partially transparent extending at least partially on the data area (6) in order to extend into the through opening (8), the second layer (10) comprising a part extending beyond the first layer (4) and forming an edge part (12), the second layer (10) comprising at least one element forming a security element, the security element being present and/or visible on and/or in the edge part (12) and in the through opening (8) of the first layer (4).
Invisible Luminescent Protection for Financial and Identification Documents
Methods and apparatus for invisible luminescent protection for financial and identification documents are described herein. An example apparatus includes an illuminating source to illuminate a sample with light having a first wavelength, a photo element to detect light having a second wavelength and to capture an image of a first pattern printed on the sample, wherein the first pattern is printed on a first area of the sample with clear ink containing inorganic, ceramic particles having a mean diameter of less than one micron and having luminescent properties such that when the particles are illuminated with light having the first wavelength, they emit light having the second wavelength.

Security display devices, their production and use
Security documents often incorporate security devices to prevent or hinder counterfeiters. Disclosed herein are security devices that include a fluid or fluids within the devices. Such devices, and security documents that include them, afford new techniques to check whether a security document is a legitimate or counterfeit copy.
Chiral liquid crystal polymer layer or pattern comprising randomly distributed craters therein
Described is a chiral liquid crystal polymer (CLCP) layer or pattern which comprises randomly distributed craters of controlled mean diameter and/or density. The density and/or mean diameter of the craters can be controlled, for example, by adjusting the wetting of a substrate by a CLCP precursor composition, the development time of the precursor composition, and the thickness of the applied precursor composition.

Optical structures providing dichroic effects
A document, product, or package, such as a banknote, passport or the like comprises structures having dichroic effects that change color with viewing angle in both transmission and reflection. Such structures can be useful as security features that counter the ability to effectively use counterfeit documents, products, packages, etc.

SECURITY DEVICE
A security device includes a plurality of diffractive surface elements arranged on a carrier element. A surface covered by the diffractive surface elements on the carrier element can occupy at least a partial region of the carrier element. Each individual diffractive surface element can have a three-dimensional surface structure. A portion of the plurality of the diffractive surface elements can form a first surface element group including the portion of the plurality of diffractive surface elements, and an orientation of the diffractive surface elements in the first surface element group can be matched to each other wherein together they make a single first image point of an associated first symbol to be represented visible to an observer under particular observation conditions.
Display having light-scattering property
A display includes light-scattering regions. Each of the light-scattering regions is provided with linear protrusions and/or recesses having the same longitudinal direction. The light-scattering regions are different from each other in the longitudinal direction.
